On the evening of December 10, 2001, Vancouver joined Amnesty International, Langley Branch in activities related to UN International Human Rights Day at Greater Vancouver Area Richmond Municipal Square. Practitioners set up Dafa banners and exhibition boards to expose the evil and clarify the truth. Several MLPs and representatives of various organizations spoke to the assembled people. A representative of Falun Gong also gave a speech condemning the brutal persecution of Jiang Zemin's regime against Dafa practitioners practicing Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He also called upon the international community to be concerned about the atrocities that have been going on for two and a half years. He praised the courageous actions of the 36 Western practitioners who went to Beijing to appeal. After the ceremony, practitioners marched with other organizations for world peace and justice.
