The Buddha's Fa is Boundless: Saving People with Millions of Truth-Clarifying Materials, Part 1

The First Chapter

Over a year ago, there was gloom above and darkness below all over China due to a great battle between the righteous and the vicious. Dafa disciples have gone through the test.

In September 2000, a cloud of terror hung over Beijing. However, Dafa disciples from S City in Northeast China kept coming to Beijing to safeguard Dafa. What was different than usual was that everyone brought a big bag full of Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials. Upon arrival, they distributed the materials here and there in the city before they went to Tiananmen Square, where they unfolded their banners announcing "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." From the deepest, bottom-most part of their hearts they shouted out the voice of justice in the universe,?Falun Dafa is good!" But let's start at the beginning of our story.

Under the terror, all channels that can be used to spread the truth are blocked: radio, television, newspapers, the Internet, letters, telephones, private conversations and so on. When Falun Dafa materials are discovered in print shops, a large fine is imposed on the owner or the owner may even be detained or jailed.

There is an old peasant who carved printing blocks and mimeographed truth-clarifying materials by himself. He distributed the materials to peasants far and near. Eventually, the police captured him. The police could not understand how a poor peasant who could only read a little bit could make and distribute the literature.

What I am going to talk about below is what I have heard and what has happened around me.

There are three people in Dafa disciple Li Jie's family. Her husband was a PhD student but in spite of the evil's persecution, he chose his belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and gave up his doctorate degree and the chance to pursue further study abroad. A kind-hearted lady rented them a one-bedroom apartment where they installed a telephone line for Internet access. Li Jie's husband was able to browse Minghui Net and other sites easily by unblocking the evil's firewall. They bought a used copy machine that needed to be cooled down after running for awhile. Various materials are always displayed on their bed.

When Li Jie opens her food stall there is always a line of people waiting because people in the neighborhood prefer her food and enjoy listening to her cultivation stories from ancient times until today. Her food sells fast. When she finishes her business, fellow practitioners have already picked up truth-clarifying materials from her. Li Jie always keeps a righteous mind. Wherever she goes, she validates Dafa and nobly clarifies the truth about Dafa. More than ten times she made vicious thugs lose their confidence; this became a favorite topic among people in the neighborhood. Her 9-year-old child said proudly, "I've been to Tiananmen to safeguard Dafa five times."

Dafa disciple Zhao Yun prints truth clarifying literature using the company printer. Everyone in the company knows that Dafa is good and provides him with lots of conveniences to do truth-clarifying work. Zhao Yun often goes to repair equipment for his clients and he always brings flyers with him and distributes them in his client's company. His manager voluntarily hands Falun Dafa materials to clients from other places. His manager's son once wrote in an article, "It is wrong to persecute Falun Gong!" His English teacher was moved by his courage. Zhao Yun is good at computer technology (M.A.). He used to work in a state-run work unit. He was abducted and sent to a brainwashing class by the public security bureau and his work unit. He insisted on righteous beliefs and walked out of the demon's den with wisdom. Ever since then, he has been unable to go back home, although his daughter is only a few years old.

A middle-aged lady always has access to truth-clarifying materials. The owner of a print shop often secretly prints truth-clarifying materials for her at night. A retired colleague of mine (non-practitioner) goes to print the materials in his daughter's (a non-practitioner) company. The host of the house and I print materials using an old style mimeograph. The hostess and her school-aged son do not cultivate or practice Falun Dafa, but they support us all the time.

Several fellow practitioners print flyers using an automatic mimeograph. They brought us a bag of truth-clarifying flyers and we acted right away. One night, every family in a residential area obtained a copy of truth-clarifying materials; this became the focus of conversation. In the company where Gao Jun, a person from my hometown works, most of the staff, from the manager to the employees, cultivate in Falun Dafa. The copy machine runs day and night printing truth materials. I caní t remember how many times it has been repaired. Now it needs to have the toner cartridge changed again. The supply of truth materials always falls short of the demand.

We were all worried about the shortage of truth-clarifying literature. One day, Gao Jun urgently paged me and asked me to go back home. When I arrived home, I saw many people standing by the latest model of an all-in-one printer. It can print 60 to 130 pages a minute and can even run 24 hours a day. Wonderful! We were all happy that with this machine more people would have a chance to know the truth.

Bai Xue, an employee from W Company in S City in North East China, told us a fairy tale-like story that occurred in her company. Everybody knows Falun Dafa in S City and it is common that whole families practice Falun Dafa. In her company, from the general manager to the employees, everyone practices cultivation of Falun Dafa. In the past four months, 8 million truth-clarifying materials have been printed in their company. Truth materials are distributed very fast in the city and nearby areas, as almost every family has received them and everybody has read them.

A young couple, Zhao Hong, a translator, and his wife Xu Jing, a software engineer who used to work as a programmer in a large scale, state-run work unit, were illegally discharged from public employment simply because they insisted on their belief in "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance." The young couple brought the new all-in-one printer to Beijing.

Zhao Hong said, "It's really incredible. You can find whomever you need. When the water comes, a channel is formed." (translator's note: Chinese idioum that means when the conditions are ripe, success can be achieved.) Dafa disciple Yue Qiang is a developer and designer of printing equipment (M.A.). He shopped around and bought the best all-in-one printer. A Dafa disciple who is a professional musician suggested the noise be reduced and bought some soundproof materials for the walls. Some disciples downloaded materials from the Internet, some edited the materials, some provided a vehicle, some drove, some worked as contacts outside, some went shopping, some took care of the printer. All of us worked together, settling the printer into our bedroom. Our bedroom was our workroom, and the sitting room became our bedroom. The one-bedroom apartment was about 30 square meters in area and just big enough for all of us.

Every thing was ready! We started the machine. The printer sounded a happy rhythm. The high piles of paper, a thousand pieces a pile were used up quickly and were stacked in boxes as Dafa truth materials. Oh, printer, printer, run fast and spread the principles of the universe! How lucky you should feel! All of us sang happily in our hearts together with the sound of the machine. What peaceful music! It drove away darkness and greeted the arrival of a new day.

The next day, all the printed materials were loaded into a vehicle and delivered. In the following days, the printer worked almost around the clock. Three to four vehicles came and left, picking up all the materials printed. Yue Qiang came to check the machine and said, "It's incredible! The parts that are easily broken are still perfect."

One night, many practitioners came to bind pamphlets. A lady from North East China was the owner of a restaurant and cooked well. She made food and we ate first. Even though we didn't have any spices in our kitchen, all the food tasted good. An old university graduate was very good at making main dishes. The noodles, dumplings, and pancakes he made sold very fast. People lined up to buy his food. He used to work in the government. He lost his job because of his firm belief in "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance." He then was assigned to do cleaning work. Later, he was discharged from his job. To make a living, he began cooking and selling his main dishes. He came to Beijing to appeal and joined us. The apartment was full of people, with piles of materials in front of each one. We methodically bound materials in assembly line fashion. Soon the small piles of materials became a huge pile after binding, then another and another. We patiently repeated the simple movements, a hundred times, a thousand times, in a peaceful and auspicious state of mind. In the darkness, the printer gave out a happy rhythm. Some of us had worked hard during the day and felt extremely tired and took a nap, then got up and started again. An elder sister from North East China didn't stop even for a little while. She worked fast and with rhythm. She said she could feel supernormal abilities spontaneously. Early the next morning, the materials were loaded and driven away. We returned to our own roles again and the happy rhythm sounded again in the bedroom.

Little Tong often brought us some encouraging news about Fa-rectification. He is a skilled worker who gained knowledge that is taught in university courses through self-study. He is very kind and easy-going, and deeply respected by his colleagues. However, he was discharged from his job for not giving up his belief in "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance." At the time, he was helping us deliver materials.

Two sisters, Li Yi and Li Rui often drove to our place. They worked part-time during the day in a private enterprise, and before that they had full-time jobs. They often came without having had supper. Sometimes they ate what we had left over and sometimes they didn't have time to eat at all. They brought us paper and cartridges and picked up the materials. Li Rui is short, however, she runs fast with a leather case of materials (about 5000 copies). Sometimes, the sisters brought some good food for us and bought coats for practitioners coming from other areas. They said that the person who was taking care of the machine worked too hard. Once, Li Yi cried when she saw a big AP photo printed out. In the photo two vicious policemen were stepping on a Dafa disciple's head at Tiananmen Square, pressing a knife to his neck. The onlookers were watching with no expression on their faces. Li Yi said sadly that the little girl in the photo was even smiling. She expressed grief that people had become so indifferent and that so many people had been deceived by the evil propaganda!

In only a month, over 130 boxes (5000 copies each) of Dafa truth materials spread from our small apartment to thousands of households.
