On December 19, 2001, during the celebration of Falun Dafa Week in Orange County, New York State Assemblyman Benjamin A. Gillman wrote to the Falun Dafa Information Center to praise Falun Dafa's contribution to world peace. He also strongly condemned Jiang Zemin regime's brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. Mr. Gillman's representative read the letter in the celebration ceremony of Orange County Falun Dafa Week.

In his letter, Mr. Gillman expressed his support of Falun Gong practitioners in their efforts towards world peace and praised their peaceful actions.
