Persecuting Falun Gong Practitioners: Inner Mongolia Receives Retribution

Melting Ice Floods Wudawulan Area along Yellow River, 4000 Affected

(Clearwisdom.net) The Yellow River froze early this year. With temperatures in the Hetao Plain area rising occasionally, serious floods resulted from melting river ice in the Wulanshui area of Wuhai city in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. A section of the levee burst at 9:25am on Dec. 19, 2001. According to the People's Daily reports, the width of the break is 38 meters. The water level is 50 meters higher than that of last year.

It is reported that after the Wudawulan section burst its bank, the disaster area covered one town, one county subdivision, 5 administrative villages, 3 breeding farms, 2 schools, and 13 manufacturing places, affecting a total area of approximately 50 square kilometers. To date, nearly 900 families with some 4000 people have been evacuated from the disaster area, but homes, property and domestic animals are still left in the flood area.

A report in the New York Times on September 25, 2001, " The Locust Came Again... ", described the effect of three continuous years of disaster in Inner Mongolia for local herdsmen. In the New York Times's report it said, "Troubles began in the summer of 1999... ",

The Immoral Behavior of the Police in Huolinhe City in Inner Mongolia Resulted in Retribution

Female Falun Dafa practitioner Jia Haimei was illegally sent to a labor camp and fined 3000 Yuan [Note: the average monthly salary is 500 Yuan in China). She was released in February 2001, but remained under house arrest. She was constantly harassed by police and unable to live a normal life. She was forced to report some of the policemen to their superiors. But the police retaliated. In May 2001, more than ten officers came into her house and six young police officers stripped her clothing off down to her underpants. Her 5-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter cried and would not let the police take her away, "Mama is a good person. You are bad people!" Not only did they take Jia, they also arrested Jia's visiting mother and confiscated the TV and VCR. They then went to practitioner Jia Dongwei's house to arrest him and took his TV, VCR, and 4000 Yuan bank deposit.

Jia Haimei was illegally detained at the Huolinhe Detention Center and passed out after having a heart attack. After she regained consciousness, she was sent to the Zhenlai Prison where she often had chest pains but the prison refused to release her. Jia's life is in danger. Dafa practitioners Wugui and Jia Dongwei are also illegally locked up in Zhenlai Prison. Jia Dongwei's wife is going to have a baby, but no one is taking care of her.

Brutal Persecution of Practitioners by Corrupt Officials of Hulunbei'er Meng in Inner Mongolia Provoke Retribution

The Politics and Security Squad in Moqi County, headed by Director Jiang of the police department, Director Cui of the Zharumutai County Subdivision Police Station and his chauffeur Xiao Tan, are some of the active perpetrators in the persecution. The heads of Moqi County and the local police department gave orders to arrest all of the practitioners. Practitioners were summarily arrested and detained for a long period of time without any legal procedure. The police were careful not to report this illegal sentencing to higher authorities for fear of backlash.

Within the area, the practitioners who are from rural towns were all sent to labor camps. Practitioners who have given in and promised to quit practicing are still detained there. In fact, these practitioners in particular have been held for nearly one year now. The steadfast practitioners are treated more cruelly though. They are forced to wear heavy shackles for 7 or 8 months at a time. When the practitioners conducted a hunger strike to protest the persecution, the guards in the detention center tied them on bed boards to force-feed them. The doctor there even said, "I can force-feed you until you die."

A 60-year-old female practitioner, whose teeth were in very bad shape, often was forced to eat steamed bread made of corn mixed with sand as her main meal. Thus, her dental problems have worsened. Her only alternative is a dish of pickled turnip. The turnip does not only have a bad smell, but is too hard for her to bite into. Her husband, son, and daughter-in-law have all been sent to labor camps as well. A family is thus destroyed in the persecution carried out by Jiang Zemin and his associates.

The Chief Officer of Moqi County Politics and Security Squad Ao Xiaoguang has severely beaten a female practitioner in her 40's, and has driven her to delirium. Yet he claimed she was just pretending to be like that. He tied her to a bed board in the Moqi Detention Center for over 40 days. In the end, she was driven to such a state that she was not able to control her bowel movements and was disoriented to the point she could not remember how to eat or drink. She became very weak. Finally the detention center said she was mentally disordered and notified her family to take her home.

The police often kidnap practitioners or search their homes. One couple was arrested with no reason, leaving three little girls and an elderly family member at home who couldn't take care of themselves. While the couple was being detained, burglars broke into their house through the window and frightened the children and the elderly family member. Yet the police still wouldn't release them. Chief Officer Ao was awarded 10,000 Yuan (Note: Yuan is Chinese dollar. The average monthly income of an urban worker is 500 Yuan) and made "Officer of the Year" for his "excellent work" in the persecution.

This is State Terrorism conducted by Jiang Zemin's regime. However, the law of heaven governs everything. The persecution of Falun Gong in Inner Mongolia has aroused anger in the heavens and the earth, causing disasters. A sand storm followed a blizzard early this spring. Then came a long period of drought and hot weather, accompanied by plagues of locusts. These are all signs of warning. People in the world, please wake up and support justice. In the fight between good and evil, there is no middle ground.
