The Story of Xiao Zhao's Mother

(Clearwisdom.net) Xiao Zhao was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp due to his practice of Falun Dafa. Because of his detention, Xiao Zhao's mother expressed strong resistance towards Falun Dafa.

I visited Xiao Zhao' hometown on a business trip. After I finished my business, I went to say goodbye to Xiao Zhao's mother, and noticed that she was reading Zhuan Falun. She also told me that she was doing the exercises occasionally. I was very surprised and asked her, "Aunt, can you tell me what made you change so dramatically?" She answered, "I couldn't sleep at night because I was trying to understand why my son refused to give up Falun Dafa. I also asked him this question when I visited him in the forced labor camp. He told me, 'Mom, look at me. I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't play Majong [a traditional gambling game] and I don't fool around with women, what type of person do you want me to 'transform' into? A person who smokes, drinks, plays Majong, and fools around with women?' I thought about what he said and came to understand that he was right. Just look at those Falun Gong practitioners, they don't steal, they don't kill and they don't set fires, but rather, they are trying to be decent people. What type of people does Jiang Zemin's regime want them to 'transform' into?"

"Your uncle [the aunt's husband] also tried to convince me that our son was right. [He explained that] Jiang Zemin's regime is torturing our son, so we cannot bring him more suffering, otherwise it will be too difficult for him to survive. In fact, I was not against Dafa, I just didn't want my son to suffer. When we visited him in the jail, he said, 'Dad, Mom, the only thing I worry about is your health because you're not strong.' He held back his tears while he spoke to us so that we wouldn't feel bad."

Xiao Zhao's mother's eyes turned red at this time. After a while, fascinated, she told me, "I received my menstrual period a few days after I began practicing the exercises. I haven't had it for half a year. I've also felt very energetic recently, while I hated to carry my handbag in the past since I believed it was too heavy. Are all of these changes because of practicing Falun Gong?" I told her what she was experiencing were indeed the results of practicing Falun Dafa.

Her positive attitude toward Dafa correctly positioned her life in the Universe.
