Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Aijuan From Weifang City Was Persecuted To Death

Wang Aijuan, 43 years old, female, was a dismissed employee of the First Cotton Mill of Weifang city. On the night of April 2nd, 2001, Wang Aijuan and her fellow practitioners Li Zhilian and Song Hongzhi were hanging up banners clarifying the truth and promoting the Fa on Fangyang Road when police from the Fangzi district arrested the three of them. The police locked up Wang at the local police station in Fangzi district, tightly restricted any information about her, and beat her mercilessly. Because they would rather die than submit, these three Falun Dafa practitioners went on a hunger strike to protest. On the night of April 6th, a critically injured Wang Aijuan was sent to the Ningjiagou Town Hospital. Later, she was transferred to the People's Hospital of Fangzi district, where she died that very evening. Her corpse was transported to the watch house of Fangzi district and guarded by a policeman named Chen from the local station. The corpse had been desecrated. The police's claim that she died suddenly from illness was an outright lie. According to insiders, Wang Aijuan had been "beaten very severely." Exposed body areas such as her neck and arms were all purple. The corpse of Wang Aijuan was cremated on April 8th. During the cremation, the police mobilized the entire police force of Fangzi district.

The national security brigade of Fangzi district is a special unit that was created to suppress Falun Dafa. The cruelty of Chief Shao Hongwei, deputy chief Wang Chuanfeng, and Sun Chuanxin is beyond description. In the evening, these thugs would put Falun Dafa practitioners' heads into gunnysacks and beat them without restraint with the lights turned off. They also mutilated the genitals of some female practitioners.

Now, Wang Aijuan's family members are being threatened by the police. The other two Falun Dafa practitioners who know the circumstances of this case have been transferred. Their whereabouts are unclear and their futures are uncertain. Moreover, the staff of the People's Hospital of Fangzi district have been compelled to strictly block the news and not disclose the least bit of information.

As the United Nations Human Rights Commission was meeting in Geneva, and as kite-lovers from all over the world were gathering at the internationally renowned kite city of Weifang, Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Aijuan was beaten to death. So far, already 20 Falun Dafa practitioners have been persecuted to death in Weifang. Jiang Zemin and his accomplices have committed unforgivable crimes against the people.

We hope the United Nations Human Rights Organization can come to Weifang to investigate. We hope the governments of various countries and kind-hearted people all over the world pay attention to the plight of Falun Dafa practitioners in China.
