Do Not Let Complacency or the Attachment of Seeking Results Become Another Barrier for Cultivation in Fa-Rectification

[Minghui Net] During today's Fa study, I felt very clear. In the past, whenever I picked up the book, I had all kinds of interference in my mind. I had to try hard to get rid of it in order to study the Fa well. But the interference seemed to have disappeared today. Thinking about yesterday's sending forth righteous thoughts for the first time, I was happy. I felt that all the evil factors had been eliminated, and that the manifestation of the Fa rectifying the human world was as simple as waving a hand. I couldn't help thinking about how to let people attain the Fa successfully after the Fa has been rectified. Then I thought about how all the detained practitioners would be freed, and how we would gather happily, practice and study together. ... Tears wet my eyes.

I thought for quite some time. Suddenly I found I had held Zhuan Falun for all this time but had not read a single page. I woke up. I had let my thoughts run wild, instead of cultivating sober-mindedly. This was serious complacency, which might let my other attachments also come out together with the complacency. The most obvious one is my thinking about how much I contribute to Dafa. I have put my so-called "contribution" and myself in an important spot. My showoff and selfish mentalities were part of it, and these were all brought out by my complacency. It is true that "the mind of showing off plus the attachment of zealotry will be most easily exploited by the demonic heart." ["Definitive Conclusion" in Essentials For Further Advancement]

Plus, what Master asks us to do is most sacred. It is very important to do well according to Master's Fa. If we always think about the result, isn't this the attachment of seeking results?

I found that my thinking this way came from a misunderstanding, in which I had taken "cultivation in Fa rectification" to mean "Fa rectification," while ignoring "cultivation." The difference between "cultivation in Fa rectification" and "one's own cultivation" lies in the huge difference in terms of cultivation format, levels, the connotation of the Fa that guides cultivation, and the connotation of lives after they complete cultivation. But there is one thing that is important to both: "cultivation." All have to "cultivate until no attachments are left. " Then we can succeed in cultivation. Especially we Dafa disciples are "beings who are being established for Dafa," and are "guarding the Law of the cosmos." [Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference] Thus the connotation of our cultivation differs greatly with that of lives from regular cultivation. Therefore, we must become more pure in our cultivation, and become golden shiny Dafa particles without any selfishness--then we can separate from our "own" small concept and dissolve into the great Law of the cosmos.

I think that the average cultivation of one's self involves conforming to the standard of one's level, and one does not need to care about other lives, or whether that level is pure or not. Our cultivation in Fa rectification involves truly conforming ourselves to the purest and most righteous standard in our level, and to raise up that level to the true standard if it doesn't conform to the standard anymore. Then we and other lives can live at that level. Our cultivation involves correcting everything that does not conform to the standard purely on our own initiative. The process of the cosmos' Fa rectification is the process of the cosmos' cultivation, because this is to return everything that doesn't conform to the standard back to the pure and good. This is the connotation of cultivation in Fa-rectification that I have enlightened to. And the cultivation of the cosmos this time is indeed Dafa's rectifying the cosmos, "because our practice is one in which the Fa cultivates practitioners." (Zhuan Falun) Since our cultivation has been given the connotation of "cultivation in Fa-rectification," we have been entrusted as Dafa particles. Because Dafa is rectifying the universe, our process of becoming qualified and golden shiny Dafa particles is our process of cultivation in Fa-rectification. We must be qualified both inside and outside. For the outside, we must serve to eliminate the evil and rectify the Fa, which is "the Fa rectifies the Cosmos, the Evil is completely eliminated." For the inside, we must "cultivate until no attachments are left," and become the most righteous and purest, because "Our Fa is unchangeable and eternal." ("Durability" in Essentials For Further Advancement) "Dafa is unchangeable and unshakable. It will live on forever and will always exist in the world. Heaven and earth will remain stable forever." ("Definitive Conclusion")

Therefore, at this critical moment, every Dafa disciple must be sober-minded and do well in each step. As a fellow practitioner said "Do Not Forget Cultivation Amidst Fa-Rectification While Eradicating the Evil." Above is just my personal understanding. Please correct me with compassion.
