Reckless Tung Chee Hwa Slanders Falun Dafa; Practitioners Appeal to the Government

[Minghui Net] Yesterday, while answering questions at the Hong Kong legislature conference, Tung Chee Hwa, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, slandered Falun Gong. He did not provide any evidence to support his statement. Legislator He Junren immediately reproached Tung while Tung's speech was strongly criticized by numerous groups, legislators, as well as jurists.

This afternoon, approximately 160 Hong Kong Falun Dafa practitioners formed a parade and went to the government to submit an appeal letter to Tung Chee Hwa, expressing their strong disapproval toward his opinion. One strict legislator, on his own initiative, requested to join the parade, saying that Chief Executive Tung had gone too far and that he would like to raise his voice against the injustice towards Falun Gong.

From 2:55 to 3:15pm, Falun Dafa practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts together to eradicate the evil; they then did the exercises for one hour afterwards. By the time they finished, the dark clouds had passed and sunlight was shining brightly.

Later, out of their peaceful, kind intent, these Falun Dafa practitioners submitted Tung Chee Hwa an "open letter" to clarify once more that Falun Gong is a peaceful cultivation group. They refuted each one of Tung's accusations against Falun Gong, which he had made based on his own so-called principles. Calmly expressing their strong disapproval towards his slanderous words, the practitioners still hoped that they could contact high-level officials of the government to resolve this issue with a peaceful dialogue.

Tung Chee Hwa's startling speech regarding Falun Gong has already incurred negative comments from almost all the Hong Kong media -- the more rushed he is to ban the Falun Buddha Study Society in Hong Kong, the more resentment he receives from the people; at the same time allowing more kind-hearted Hong Kong residents to come to know Falun Dafa. Every act of persecution against Falun Dafa is actually promoting Falun Dafa!
