China Has Experienced Three Consecutive Years of Drought [Clearwisdom Net] According to a report from Chinese newspapers, China
has encountered heavy drought conditions this year. This year's drought has
lasted longer and has had a wider effect than the drought of 1990. It has lasted
about 100 days and has included 3.09 million acres. Compared with the previous
year, the precipitation in the whole area of Northeast and Southwest China has
been reduced by 3 to 9%.
The water level in the reservoirs in the areas of North and Northeast China
has dropped 46%. This has caused a shortage of drinking water for 16 million
people and 12 million animals. The drought has resulted in reduced harvest for
28 million Chinese acres, among which 3.4 million Chinese acres have had no
harvest at all.
A report from the Australian Broadcasting Company states that China is having
a drought and millions of people are experiencing a shortage of drinking water.
A report from Chinese media says this year there will be thousands of people
and animals facing a shortage of drinking water. According to the latest weather
forecast, China may continue to experience drought conditions.
China's official Xinhua News Agency reported that China is now experiencing
the heaviest drought since 1990.
Southern China, in sharp contrast, is flooded due to constant heavy rains.
The flood has resulted in twenty-five people declared to be dead or missing. In
addition, there has been much property damage.
A comment from Pureinsight Net says this year is the third year that Jiang
Zemin and his clique have desperately persecuted Falun Gong. So far, there has
been over 200 Falun Gong practitioners persecuted to death. Those who submit to
the will of heaven prosper; those who resist shall perish. This is revealed by
history, including the history of China's great dynasties. Persecuting good
people is not allowed according to heavenly principles.
