Practitioners from the City of San Jose Expose the Deeds of Jiang Zemin at a Human Rights Committee Meeting

On May 31, some practitioners from the city of San Jose spoke at the regular monthly meeting of the Municipal Human Rights Committee to expose the inhumane persecution against Falun Gong and Falun Gong practitioners launched by Jiang Zemin--one of the human rights scoundrels named by Amnesty International--and his associates.

San Jose, nicknamed the capital of high-tech, is located in the heart of Silicon Valley. It not only has close relations with the industrial, commercial, scientific and technological communities in Mainland China, but is also a city with concentrated communities of Chinese people. Since last year's expansion of the crackdown on Falun Gong to overseas Chinese by Jiang Zemin, the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco has sent large amounts of slanderous material about Falun Dafa to Chinese communities in the Bay Area. It also sent threatening letters to local governments, media, and various organizations in the Bay Area that have supported Falun Gong. In order to suffocate the evil and help more kind-hearted people to know the truth, some practitioners from San Jose went to the Human Rights Committee meeting and gave a very detailed speech on Falun Gong and relative human rights issues.

In the speech, the practitioners talked about 3 subjects: What is Falun Gong? Human Rights Violations Suffered by Falun Gong Practitioners in the San Francisco Bay Area and A Local Practitioner's Detention Experience in Mainland China. The practitioners gave a vivid and detailed speech that exposed the Jiang Zemin regime's hideous deeds, their violation of human rights, and their deception to the world media. The members of the Committee were fascinated by the practitioners' speeches and they continuously raised questions and made comments to support the Falun Gong practitioners' legitimate requests while condemning the inhumane persecution launched by human rights scoundrel Jiang Zemin. The original half hour meeting was prolonged until, after almost one hour, the person in charge of the meeting called for an end to the talk on Falun Gong in order to discuss other scheduled issues. Then he warmly welcomed the practitioners to give more speeches at future meetings of the Committee.
