I Miss My Mom and Dad

a ten-year-old Falun Dafa Practitioner from Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On September 30, 2000, some Township government people took away my dad, my mom and some other people because they had gone to Beijing to appeal. My dad was sent to the County Detention Center because he spread Falun Dafa material and persisted in practicing Falun Gong. On January 6 of the lunar calendar [Jan. 24, 2001 on solar calendar as normally used], when my mom and I went to visit him, his face was still swollen. But the detention center did not allow us to talk about the bad things the police do there. They also said that since my dad had organized people and planned to take them to Beijing to distribute Falun Dafa materials, he would be sentenced to five years in prison. He is now being held in the Fengnan Prison in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. Because my mom didn't write a guarantee statement (to give up Falun Gong) and didn't accept the brainwashing, she was illegally detained for half a year. Other people were allowed to go home after their families paid huge fines. The three people who were fined the most paid 10,000 yuan RMB each [Almost twice the annual salary for an average urban worker], while the others were fined from 3,000 to 5,000 yuan each. My mom didn't allow my family to bail her out because we did not have enough money.

My dad fell from a roof in 1996 and broke his spine. Half a year later, he started practicing Falun Dafa, and it gave him a healthy body again--so my whole family knows Falun Dafa is good and we are all determined to practice it.

During detention, those Falun Gong "uncles and aunts" were often stripped and beaten until the flesh on their buttocks became raw. Later, my mom and another aunt started a hunger strike and then the conditions improved a little bit. They clarified the truth of Falun Gong to people in prison and offered salvation to them, but the detention center authorities were plotting to send my mom to a labor camp. So mom escaped, but couldn't come home, and now we don't know where she is.

In October 1999, my dad, mom and I went to Beijing to validate Falun Dafa. My grandma wouldn't tell where we had gone, so the Politics and Law Committee Secretary, Wang Fan, and ten mean policemen beat her very hard, leaving bruises all over her body. Her face was really swollen and was all black and blue. They were afraid she might die, so they agreed that they wouldn't detain, beat or fine us when we came back home.

I am now ten years old and my grandma is over sixty. We depend on each other to survive. My grandma has to take care of me and bear the suffering of losing her family. My dad is detained in Fengnan Prison in Tangshan City, over a thousand miles away, and no one can go visit him.

There is no one to take care of our farmland. This is how Jiang Zemin and his group are persecuting our family. I miss my dad and mom, and I hope the day will come soon when all evil will be eliminated, the Fa will have rectified the world, and hundreds of thousands of unfortunate families like ours will soon be reunited.
