1. Nine Policemen are Unable to Arrest an Old Woman

At around 9:00am on June 18, 2000, nine policemen gathered at the door of Dafa practitioner Auntie Hao (pseudonym). When the police came in, they wanted to take Auntie Hao away with them. Facing the evil with righteous thoughts, Hao told them, "I am not going with you. A police station is not a place for kind-hearted people. I did not break the law by practicing Falun Gong." A policeman then said, "Do you know that the government has denounced Falun Gong as xx?" Hao answered, "That is what you say. I will practice as long as I feel it is good. I will not practice if I don't feel it is good, even if you say it is good." The police then tried to coax her into going with them, saying, "We asked you to come with us in order to investigate a case that you may know something about." But she calmly replied, "Fine, let's talk about it here." No matter how the police tried to scare or cheat her, Auntie Hao would not go with them. One police officer tried to force her to go. "You have to come with us no matter what," he threatened. Auntie Hao shouted, "All of you could be catching the criminals out there, rather than troubling an old lady. I'm telling you, I am not going with you." After more than two hours of unfruitful argument, the police asked, "Can you come with us at 3:00pm this afternoon?" "Let me think about it," was all she replied. After the police left, Auntie Hao realized this was the Master helping her to leave. She packed her belongings and left her home. Now Auntie Hao dedicates herself more diligently to the Fa-rectification process.

2. Taking the Initiative to Eliminate the Evil, Instead of Waiting Passively

On the afternoon of June 4, 2001, some practitioners learned that the police planned to illegally arrest all the Dafa practitioners in the city and force them into a brainwashing class early the next morning at 2:00am.

Facing the evil, some practitioners gathered together that night to study the Fa and discuss the situation. As a result, they enlightened to the fact that they should take the initiative and eliminate the evil rather than wait passively. First, they sent out righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil as a group. Then they separately used public phones to call the Public Security Bureau, 110 (emergency number in China), the 610 office and the National Security Bureau. Some practitioners told the police, "If you arrest any Dafa practitioners and persecute any of these kind-hearted people, the rest of us, even if there is only one left free, will go to Beijing to appeal." Some practitioners called 110 and cautioned the police, "At 2:00am tomorrow morning the evil plans to arrest kind-hearted people. Whoever persecutes Dafa and Dafa practitioners will get retribution. Serious accidents will cause death for the guilty tonight." Because Dafa practitioners actively eliminated the evil with their righteous thoughts, the police were scared into canceling their evil plan.

3. Dafa Practitioners Eliminated Evil with Righteous Thoughts, Causing the Planned Brainwashing Class to Fail

A Provincial Party Committee sent an officer to a city to oversee the planned persecution of Dafa practitioners in a brainwashing class. On the morning of June 5, 2001, Zheng (female) was forced into a police car and sent to the brainwashing class. On her way, Zheng sent forth two righteous thoughts. The first was "The Fa rectifies the Cosmos, the Evil is completely eliminated." The second was that no matter what, she would not write a statement renouncing Dafa.

At the brainwashing class, Zheng told everyone how Dafa changed her physically and spiritually, and how Dafa improved her moral standard. She said to the staff in tears, "It is Dafa that saved my life, Dafa told me to be a good person, a selfless person, a person who considers others' benefits before my own. I am a good person now, but you want to 'reform' me. What do you want to 'reform' me into, a bad person? No way. I used to suffer from all kinds of illnesses, but you did not care at that time. Now you want me to renounce Dafa? I would rather die than write a renunciation statement." The staff had no choice but to call in the leaders of Industry and Commerce Bureau and the leaders of Zheng's formal work unit to help. Finally, the leaders told Zheng, "We know we cannot change you. You can go home and practice." Zheng passed the brainwashing tribulation successfully. Due to the resistance of all the Dafa practitioners, the evil could not "reform" a single Dafa practitioner. They planned to have a series of brainwashing classes, but the plan failed at the very beginning without a successful session.
