The Venomous Brainwashing Class in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Mrs. He Guirong Welfare Institute at Jiangnan Avenue in Haizhu District of Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province has been turned into an illegal detention center for Falun Gong practitioners. So far there have been over a dozen practitioners detained there, and it is also where Chen Chengyong was persecuted to death.

On July 11, 2001, Liu Boqi, an employee of China People's Bank Guangzhou Branch business management department, was sent to Mrs. He Guirong's Welfare Institute for forced brainwashing by his employer, along with the "610"Office [an office specializing in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners; 6.10 refers to June 10^th, 1999, when this office was set up] of Haizhu District, local Police Station of Jiangnan Zhong Street, and Jiangnan Zhong Street Synthesis Management Office. During the detention, Liu Boqi's father was in critical condition and lied in a coma in the hospital. The hospital sent an emergency notice to the patient's family and to China People's Bank Guangzhou Branch. However, the response to the hospital was that Liu would not be allowed to go to the hospital to see his father unless both he and his wife sign the "guarantee statement" saying that they would no longer practice Falun Gong.
