Safeguarding Dafa in Tiananmen Square: Strengthen Righteous Thoughts and Eliminate the Evil

(Clearwisdom net) On June 30, 2001, at 11AM, I came to Tiananmen Square with several other Dafa practitioners. We displayed banners at different locations, and said out loud, "Falun Dafa is good," "Falun Dafa is righteous," "Restore the reputation of Falun Dafa," and "Restore the reputation of our teacher." Soon, policemen arrived and grabbed a practitioner, snatched his banner and beat him up. I stepped forward to reason with the police. They found a banner in my bag and forced me into a van. They slapped my face several times. Several policemen pinned the other practitioner on the ground and stepped on his neck. They said that they were following orders and that all Falun Gong practitioners were to be treated this way.

At 1PM, a total of 12 practitioners (3 males) were sent to the Qianmen Police Station. The police locked all 12 of us in a steel cage and denied us even bathroom visits. At this time, we started to send forth righteous thoughts and recited the contents of Zhuan Falun, "Lunyu" (the forward of Zhuan Falun), "Hongyin" (the collection of Teacher's poems), the article "True Cultivation" (Essentials for Further Advancement) and the verse "The Fa rectifies the Cosmos, the Evil is completely eliminated." Before we knew it, the policemen disappeared. From this experience, we further felt Teacher's compassion and the boundlessness of the Fa (Law and principles of the universe).

Around 6 to 7 PM, the police transferred us to another place. When the police ordered me to sit down, I recalled Master's teaching, "No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil's demands, orders, or what it instigates." ("Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful") and refused. Around 7 to 8 PM, we were sent to the Pinggu County Police Station. This place is more vicious. The police beat up everyone who did not cooperate. The torture happened mostly at night when everyone was asleep. On July 4, at 10 PM, I heard a female practitioner's painful screams next door. On the afternoon of July 5, they started to persecute me. When I refused to yield to their pressure, they slapped my face repeatedly. Seven people pinned me down on the floor, face down with arms stretched out. They used a rubber stick to whip my hips violently. These people have lost all their conscience.

At 3PM on July 6, the torture escalated. They hung me in the steel cage and beat me repeatedly. Someone grabbed my hair and smashed my head against the cage bars. They even burned my bare back with lit matches. Several policemen kicked me with hard boots until they got tired. Facing such persecution against Dafa, I did not tolerate, nor did I cooperate with them. I thought, "You cannot tie me down; the persecution will fail." Right after I sent forth the righteous thoughts, my hands were set free. I stood there with my head up. Enraged by my refusal to yield, the police intensified their torture. I had difficulty breathing, but my mind was crystal clear: "I am a Dafa disciple, I will not compromise with the evil; suffocate the evil; eliminate the evil." After a long time, my heart almost stopped. An evil policeman named Wu punched at my philtrum (an acupuncture point from below the nose to the upper lip)with his thumb and poured cold water on my head. This was the sixth day into my hunger strike (no food and water). I was so exhausted that I could not stand or sit. They continued to lock me in the cage and refused to let me visit the toilet. At 7PM, after 3 hours of torture, they finally stopped, fearing that I might die inside the Pinggu police station. At about 9PM, they threw me in the trunk of a VW Jetta, drove to a highway and turned me loose.

If humans do not control themselves, the universe will. Good is rewarded with good; evil is met with evil. I document this to provide more first-hand evidence of the crimes committed by Jiang Zemin and his followers.
