Newsflash from China News Agency on July 11: According to observations made at the China Seismic Station, at 5:41pm on July 11, 2001 (Beijing Time), an earthquake of 5.3 magnitude occurred in Nanyugu Autonomy County of Gansu Province (39.2 North Latitude, 98.0 East Longitude).
According to the news from Mingbao, floods in Guangxi have caused a loss of over 10 billion Yuan RMB (about $1.2 billion), and ten deaths since July. This is the worst flooding in the past 50 years. It is estimated that the floods would affect Guangxi for another fifteen days. Up to July 9, there have been disasters in forty-eight towns and counties. 11.6 million people have been affected, 82,000 houses have collapsed, and 1,500 villages have been surrounded by the flood.
This is a warning for the crimes committed by the vicious forces against Falun Dafa.

Qiang Weixiu (female) is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Xifeng City, Gansu Province who graduated from junior college and became an engineer. She was arrested and sent to the first team of the female division in this labor camp. Upon arrival she was handcuffed and tortured. She was forced to stand for long periods of time daily, followed by confinement and other inhuman torture. Despite this abuse she persevered and continued to be determined to practice Falun Dafa. Her sincere heart influenced many of the criminals in the prison. The police came to realize this so they transferred her to the third team. Starting in November 2000, the police would not allow her to sleep, and punished her by forcing her to stand outside until very late every night in the cold winter weather with temperatures ranging from -4 to -22 F. Qiang Weixiu has endured this torture for four months now. In order to protest the vicious persecution, Qiang Weixiu had gone on a hunger strike twice, each time lasting more than ten days. Currently, she has gone on a hunger strike again. The police encourage the other prisoners to beat her every day.
In order to force practitioners to give up practicing Falun Dafa, Jiang's government has ordered the police in the labor camps to brainwash one practitioner per police officer. If they fail, the salaries of the officers will be reduced or they can even be fired. In order to reach this goal, the police have tried using all possible methods, such as intimidation, deception, beating, physical punishment, torture, extending detention terms and sentences. Since these methods have failed to work, the police have begun to beg the practitioners, "Please write a guarantee statement (a written promise to give up practicing Falun Dafa), then you can practice whenever you want at home ... Please have mercy on us!"
Practitioners who continue to practice the exercises are handcuffed, beaten, and confined in isolation. Last summer, Kong Weixia (female), Duan Xiaoyan (female), Jiao Lili (female), and Zhang Youfu were all handcuffed and put outside under the baking sun from morning until night because they practiced the exercises. Later, Kong Weixia and Zhang Youfu were jailed in isolation. In the guardhouse, the police ordered the vicious criminals to take turns beating Kong Weixia for as long as four hours. In addition, both of her hands were handcuffed to a pillar and she was not allowed to sleep for more than twenty days.
Currently there are about 30 female Falun Gong practitioners detained at Maoqiao Women Labor Camp in Nanning City, Guangxi Province. Many of them have been locked up in solitary confinement and their sentences have been extended. We cannot get the most recent news about them as the passage of information has been blocked.
The First Labor Camp in Gansu Province and Maoqiao Women Labor Camp in Guangxi Province are more examples of the ruthless persecutions to the universal law and Dafa practitioners, along with Masanjia Labor Camp in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province and Wanjia Labor Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province.
"Dafa disciples' Forbearance is noble; is the manifestation of beings' extraordinary, indestructible, and diamond-like solidity; is tolerance for the purpose of upholding the truth; and is benevolence toward and salvation of beings who still have human nature and righteous thoughts. Forbearance is absolutely not the limitless giving of free rein, which enables those evil beings who no longer have any human nature or righteous thoughts to do evil without limit. With Forbearance, one can give up everything for Truth. But Forbearance does not mean tolerating evil beings--that no longer have human nature or righteous thoughts--defying both human and divine laws as they corrupt living beings and Dafa's existence at different levels, much less is it ignoring terrible crimes. Most of the detained practitioners defend the universal truth: "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance" with their lives, and resist the last vicious force in the human world. People, please wake up. The natural and man-made disasters that are happening are not just coincidental. Heaven will punish the criminals!
