1. [Beijing City] Falun Dafa Banner Flutters High On the Campus of Qinghua
University
At 3:50 p.m. on June 25, a 10-meter-long banner, reading "Restore the
Reputation of Falun Dafa," unexpectedly appeared on the campus of Qinghua
University, the most famous university in Mainland China, in which the evil
forces have frenziedly persecuted Falun Dafa and practitioners. The banner was
just opposite to the Center of Qinghua University e.g. the administration office
building and the University Police Station next to it! When Dafa practitioners
passed by, they saw Dafa flyers flying about from high when the banner was
unfurled. At that time, many teachers, students, employees and their family
members were passing by, so they surely saw this banner and the flyers.
When I left, the banner had already been there at least 20 minutes. I don't
know how long it was there after that.
Before and during the whole process, all Dafa practitioners participated in
this activity, sent forth righteous thoughts together many times to eliminate
all evils on Qinghua campus and the degenerate beings in other dimensions who
attempted to hinder this activity of Fa-rectification. After breaking through
many obstacles, practitioners eventually set up the banner and sent out flyers
in due time. All participants returned safely.
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Dozens of Harbin Practitioners Escape
from Danger for Having Righteous Thoughts in their Hearts to Eliminate Evils
In December 2000, those Harbin practitioners who went to appeal and whose
names and addresses were identified, were temporarily detained in the Liaison
office of Harbin City at Fuchengmen district in Beijing. They were forced to
wait for the policemen from Harbin to escort them to the local detention
centers. More than 10 practitioners detained in the same room had a group
experience sharing. They finally decided not to be controlled by evils, and they
should suffocate evils.
On the night of December 11, a few practitioners drew away the guards. When
these practitioners entangled the guards, 30-40 practitioners used their wits
and successfully escaped from the Liaison Office in Beijing. When the guards saw
these practitioners running away, they hurriedly ran to catch them. Then the
practitioners who originally drew away the guards also escaped successfully.
3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] People of the World, Please Hold Fast
to Your Righteous Thoughts
At the toll station on the highway between Beijing and Harbin, people in
every passing vehicle have to curse Falun Dafa or Teacher Li Hongzhi after
paying the toll. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to go. The boss of a
vacation village knows Dafa is good because his relatives cultivate Dafa. At
first, he didn't abuse Dafa, but the officials at the toll station didn't allow
him to pass. The boss then thought," It doesn't matter even I curse because
it isn't out of my own will." He said what he should not say against his
conscience. However, after he returned to the vacation village, he received
notices one after another that his customers had temporarily cancelled their
orders. He lost a lot of money. He mentioned this in anger to his relative who
cultivates Dafa. Right after listening to him, his relative understood why he
encountered such a big trouble, and told him, "You clearly know Dafa is
good, yet why did you cooperate with them when they asked you to abuse Dafa? Why
didn't you resist the evils, instead of going against your conscience?"
From the perspective of cultivation, it is due retribution. All those people
who curse Dafa, slander Dafa or destroy Dafa will certainly come to no good end!
The due retribution is simply a warning. If you can come to realize it, you will
still have chances to resist the bad and promote the good. People of the world,
please hold fast to your righteous thoughts, and never go against your
conscience!
4. [Beijing City] Dafa Practitioner Zhao Ming's Whereabouts are Unknown
In the spring of 2001, Falun Dafa practitioner Zhao Ming, a Chinese student
who used to study in a university in Ireland, was transferred from Tuanhe Labor
Camp to Xin'an Labor Camp, and was forced into a brainwashing class. But Zhao
Ming is very determined in his belief of Falun Dafa. On April 25 of this year,
under the instigation of the team leader Li, Zhou Yuling and other 3 betrayers
came to brainwash Zhao Ming. The evil forces considered them as able people in
brainwashing practitioners, and among them, Zhou Yuling returned to the labor
camp to help brainwash practitioners after serving the full term of his sentence
and being released. They used illegal physical punishments; they insulted and
cursed Zhao Ming and slapped his face. They took turns guarding him and didn't
allow him to sleep. They used "fatigue" strategies to torture him
continuously over ten days, yet still didn't achieve their purpose of reforming
him. Zhao Ming was then placed in a guardroom of a training team. He was forced
to stand like a soldier without being allowed to move for nearly 18 hours a day
from 6:30 a.m. till 12:00a.m. Three days later, his whole body swelled. After
that, he was forced to do the job of removing garbage, which needed 4 or 5
people to complete before. After going back to the guardroom, he was ordered to
continue to stand. During the so-called training, he was provided only with
steamed corn buns, pickled vegetables and plain water for three meals per day.
Even facing such miserable torture, Zhao Ming is still very determined for Dafa
and was never shaken.
On May 12, Zhao Ming had served the full term of the illegal sentence of one
year of forced labor reeducation. However, he was sentenced to another extended
10 months of forced labor simply because he refused to give up his belief in
Falun Dafa. Several days later, police took him away, and his whereabouts are
unknown currently. Although Zhao Ming has been taken away, no person who has met
him will ever forget his righteousness. Zhao Ming once told a practitioner,
" I have a clear conscience during each day I have spent." He verified
Dafa with his words and deeds. People were deeply impressed when he was detained
in Xin'an Labor Camp.
We appeal to the international society to pay attention to Zhao Ming and stop
Jiang Zemin's gang from torturing him.
5. [Suihua, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Cong Guihua's Life is in
Danger
Practitioner Cong Guihua is an employee of Suihua Railroad Repairing Brigade
of Heilongjiang Province. Cong and her husband both practice Falun Dafa; she is
detained in the Heilongjiang Province Railroad Temporary Detention House because
she went to Beijing to appeal. Now her body is full of scabies and her life is
endangered. First the railroad company asked her family to pay 50Yuan per day to
let her see the doctor, then they asked them to pay bail, but her family doesn't
have enough money; she has not been released as of now. Her husband was
sentenced to one-year-forced-labor and is still in a labor camp; their
12-year-old daughter is homeless.
6. [Beijing] Undercover Police Agent Practices Falun Gong to Spy on
Practitioners
This morning around 8 o'clock, there was a man practicing the first of the
five Falun Gong exercises near the residential area of the Agricultural
Institute. This middle-aged man did the exercise clumsily; it was obvious that
he had learned it in a hurry to "perform." Instead of closing his eyes
like real practitioners do, his eyes darted around like a thief. Not far from
him, there was a white car parked along the bike route. A strong looking man in
the car was closely observing the passersby and people doing the morning
exercises.
The police now use these shameless methods to spy on practitioners.
7. [Changchun, Jilin Province] The Evil Forces have Posted a Bounty of 50,000
Yuan for the Arrest of Practitioner Liu Yaqian
All the street offices and community offices were notified today that the
Public Security Bureau of Changchun City has called for a reward of 50,000 Yuan
(about US $6200) for the arrest of practitioner Liu Yaqian.
8. [China] In August the Public Security Bureau Plans to Persecute
Practitioners who have been Driven from their Homes
Insiders said that in August the China Public Security System authorities
plan to focus on the persecution of practitioners who left home to avoid
brainwashing. They plan to put the names and photos of the practitioners on the
network asking that all local police substations search for them. Practitioners
who are arrested will face long-term imprisonment.
9. [Yitong County, Jilin Province] Persecuting Dafa Brings Rare Severe
Drought to Yitong County
Yitong County of Jilin Province has rarely met with disasters in the past.
Even if there was bad weather in the spring, there would still be a good harvest
in the fall. But the climate has changed since1999. Because the lawless local
officials closely followed Jiang Zemin's order to persecute Falun Dafa
practitioners and slander the Law of the Cosmos, the people in Yitong County
began to suffer from climatic disasters. This year, the drought is very severe.
Most areas of the county have had very little rain. It only rained lightly a
couple of times in early June, falling far short of farming needs. Even though
the government gathered sufficient manpower to fight the drought, it has not
helped much. At best, there will be only a small harvest in the fall.
Workers who haven't gotten their salaries for several months went to Beijing
to appeal. County mayors had to speak to them in person. Lawless officials stole
the teachers' salaries, so the teachers must appeal for their bread. The county
officials are surrounded by all kinds of people who are appealing. Maddening
demands pile up, one after another.
We hope the county officials, if they have a drop of kindness in their
hearts, stop persecuting Falun Gong in violation of the Law of the Cosmos. We
hope all the people work together to resist the evil forces and avoid more
overwhelming disasters.
10. [China] National Security Agents Harass Practitioners' Relatives in China
Recently, the Chinese National Security Bureau sent out agents to harass and
pressure overseas practitioners' relatives in China through spurious
"investigations." and fabricated news. They also intercepted emails
telling the truth about Falun Gong being sent to China by overseas
practitioners.
11. [Guangzhou, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Liu Shiwen Re-arrested after
Published Retraction Announcement on Minghui Net
Practitioner Liu Shiwen, male, about 40, was the former Assistant at
Guangdong Provincial Falun Gong Assistance Station, and an associate of the
former Chief secretary of the Falun Gong Research Center, Guangdong Provincial
Qigong Association. After July 22 1999, while under great pressure, he announced
his separation from Falun Gong on TV thus damaging Dafa, but he never gave up
practicing Falun Gong at any time. In April 2001, he read the Teacher's
scripture, "Suggestion" and then exchanged understandings with other
veteran practitioners. He realized the solemnity of real cultivation so he
openly published a retraction of his earlier separation statement on Minghui Net
to clear the bad effects he had created. This shocked the evil forces in
Guangzhou city. Before May 1 2001, he was again arrested and taken from home and
detained in an unknown location. Kindhearted people, please provide detailed information about practitioner
Liu Shiwen to expose human rights violations and to stop the evil forces from
persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. Your righteous actions will deter the
evils and will mean a bright and happy future for you and your whole family.
12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Longshan Labor
Re-Education Camp Forces Practitioners' Family Member to Step on the Founder's
Portrait
Recently, during visiting day, Longshan Labor Re-Education
Camp, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province dispatched two policemen to stand in
front of the gate and put two portraits of Falun Gong founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi,
on the ground. The two policemen forced practitioners' family members who came
to visit them to step on the portraits. They shouted orders for them to step on
the head of the portrait. If they refused, they would not allow them to visit
the practitioners. We hope all disciples who have read this news will send forth
the righteous thoughts to wipe out this evil. Longshan Labor Re-Education Camp is located at the south-east
of Shenyang City, the south of Donglin District, Zhujiatun Town. Two teams of
female Falun Gong practitioners are detained there. They are forced to work over
10 hours each day. For breakfast they are fed only salty vegetables. Lunches and
suppers consist only of cabbage soup.
13. [Xinan, Inner Mongolia] 17 Practitioners Tortured in
Inner Mongolia No 1 Female Labor Camp
Captain Ying either punches or curses practitioners. Every
evening before bedtime she asks practitioners whether they will continue to
practice. If anyone says yes, she forces them to squat down, "ride the
airplane"(a kind of punishment), smell the excrement bucket or stand in
bushes to be bitten by mosquitoes. On freezing winter days, the police force
practitioners to stand outdoors to be frozen. At noontime on the hottest summer
days, they force practitioners to squat down outdoors with their hands cuffed,
to be baked under the sun. During the daytime (morning and afternoon) they still
have to work. Hu Shuhua was forbidden to sleep for 9 days and handcuffed to
the passageway railing because he kept practicing the exercises. Captain Ying
incited the criminals to punch her legs until they were black and blue, making
it difficult for her to walk. However, she still had to work during the daytime. Fu Guiying was pinched on her breasts until they were black
and blue. Her mouth was beaten so badly that her teeth broke. Jia Haiying was beaten so badly that she was bleeding all
over her face and body, just for trying to protect Dafa books. Captain Wang Guirong forced a practitioner to sit in water.
He alternately shocked her with an electric baton and slashed her with bamboo
batons. This torture lasted for quite a long time. Practitioner Li Shuya was over 50 years old. Because she
continued practicing the exercises, the police punished her by forcing her to
stand all day and all night with her hands cuffed. Captain Ying hung practitioners Zhai Cuixia and Wang Xiuqin
up with their hands cuffed because they practiced the exercises. Not until Zhai
went into shock did they release her. One winter night, the police forced Dafa practitioners to
stand in a passageway dressed only in their underwear and with bare-feet. Peng
Huilai was frequently forced to stand on the ice-cold ground in the freezing
winter weather for a long time. This is what happens routinely at the Xin'an Female Labor
Camp.
14. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Lawless Officials in No.
6410 Factory Persecute Dafa Practitioners
The No. 6410 Factory is located in the Jinjing Mine area in
Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, which is a remote place for making and
storing weapons. The authorities held brainwashing classes many times for
practitioners. They also monitored practitioners every move, limited their
freedom and forced them to write exposing and guarantee letters. On New Year's Day of 2000, 10 practitioners could not bear
the persecution anymore and went to Beijing to appeal. Seven of them returned to
the factory several days later and were detained illegally for two days. Later
the Security Office sent five of them to the detention center for one-month of
detention, using the excuse of holding a brainwashing class. Each practitioner
was illegally fined 5000 Yuan. [about US $600, one whole years income of a
Chinese worker). Only 600 Yuan [about US $70) was paid to the factory for their
accommodations (actually each person's accommodation fee is less than three Yuan
each day). The lawless police secretly pocketed the rest of the fine. In
addition, the factory extorted 2000 Yuan [about US $240] of "class
expenses" from each practitioner. In addition, two female practitioners who were breastfeeding
infants were also forced to participate in the brainwashing class with other
practitioners who hadn't gone to Beijing to appeal. These two practitioners were
fined 7000 Yuan [about US $840, the income of one and half year of a Chinese
worker]. In an attempt to influence others, the factory broadcast the news of
their punishment on the radio for several days. After the brainwashing class, the factory further punished
the seven practitioners by firing them, but they still kept them there in order
to watch them for one year. These seven practitioners still went to work as
usual, but they were given only 80 to 90 Yuan as a monthly living fee. They
don't even have the basic guaranteed living standard. One female practitioner
was a teacher, but she was deprived of the right to teach and forced to clean
restrooms. The other three practitioners who did not come back were
eventually caught. They were brought back from Beijing and sentenced to three

15. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Eight Practitioners from
Shuangqiaozi Arrested
On June 25, 2001, evil thugs tracked a practitioner from the
Shuanqianzi area. Later on police arrested another 8 practitioners who were
gathering in the house of practitioner Liu.
16. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] The Recent News about Falun Gong
Practitioner Zhang Xiaoqiao
Zhang Xiaoqiao, a Falun Gong practitioner from Guangzhou City, has aroused
people's attention since the news about her one month hunger strike in Baiyun
Mental Hospital was published on Minghui Net on June 4, 2001. Practitioner Zhang has being illegally detained in Guangzhou Baiyun Mental
Hospital and has gone a hunger strike for more than 40 days. On June 11, the
mental hospital sent her to Guangzhou Asylum (Shuiyin Ave., Siheng Rd.,
Guangzhou City). Police attempted to secretly imprison Zhang. But Zhang didn't
follow the demands of the vicious police. She was seriously injured on her head
when struggling with them. Her wound was stitched. However, she still refused
food and water, protesting the illegal detention by police. Now she's in
critical condition at No. 4 Hospital, which is a branch of the Asylum. Due to
pressure from police, the hospital didn't allow her family members to visit her. Since police arrested her secretly on May 7, 2001, they haven't brought forth
any notice to her family members or any legal procedure. They also denied the
visiting rights of her family members. Meanwhile they are plotting further
persecution. We appeal to all nations' governments, non-governmental organizations, kind
groups and people, please pay attention to the persecution of Falun Gong
practitioners in China. Please offer any aid in this matter, within your ability

17. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] A Visitor from Taiwan is not Allowed to
Meet His Brother, a Falun Gong Practitioner being Detained, Although they Have Been Separated for over 50 Years
I was detained in a detention center of Linyi City, Shandong Province for
practicing Falun Gong. One day, a female Falun Gong practitioner was doing the
Falun Gong exercises. The police on duty saw her and put a heavy weight on her.
The police also ordered two prisoners to force her to run and shout, "I am
being physically punished because I practiced Falun Gong exercises." The
torture did not stop until the woman fell down on the ground and could not move
any more. This time, I was detained for 37 days. They released me after my family
members paid ransom money 2,000 RMB Yuan [About US $240, 5-month's income for
an average urban worker]. Three days after I came back home, I was taken to the village commission
where the security personnel beat me. Then they detained me in an apartment for
elderly people for three days. All male and female practitioners were locked in
a small room. We were forced to pay 50 RMB Yuan each day. The brother of a practitioner came from Taiwan to visit him. They haven't
seen each other for more than 50 years. However, those inhumane guards didn't
allow them to meet. They said with a guilty conscience, "We can't let them
meet. If he sees and exposes the truth to the public after returning Taiwan, we
will be in trouble."
18. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Practitioner Wang Yang Arrested for
Sending E-mail to Clarify Truth
Wang Yang, a Falun Gong practitioner in Dragon Information Science Institute,
sent numerous E-mails to clarify truth by dialing-up his own phone line. Because
he used a mail server within China, police found his phone number. He was
illegally summoned and his home was searched. All Dafa materials, two laptop
computers and all truth-clarifying material in the computers were taken away.
19. [Shenze County, Hebei Province] Police Intrude into Citizen's Residence
and Illegally Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioners
On June 2, 2001, Wang Yi, the deputy director of Baizhuang Police Substation,
and three other policemen searched practitioner Yang Xiaofeng's home. They found
some Falun Gong books and truth-clarifying materials; they arrested and
illegally detained Mr. Yang. At 3am on June 5, 2001, police led by Li Wenguo, the director of Political
Security Section of Shenze County Public Security Bureau, searched Falun Gong
practitioner Wang Zhao's home in Tiegan Town. They found some Falun Dafa books
and truth–clarifying materials. They arrested and illegally detained Mr. Wang.
20. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Authorities Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioners
Since the beginning of June 2001, Shen Zhanqun, the Secretary of Xinji City
Committee has gathered over 300 people including the public security police, the
traffic police, the armed police and other personnel in charge of city
management. They have carried out 5 large-scale actions against Falun Dafa
practitioners. On June 15, 2001, 8 Falun Dafa practitioners, including the Geng
Shun couple and the Chen Xijian couple were illegally arrested.
21. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Police from Yuhua Police Station
Illegally Detain Falun Dafa Practitioners
On June 10, 2001, the security guards caught two Falun Dafa practitioners who
were distributing materials that clarify the truth of Dafa in a supermarket, and
transferred them to Huaidi Police Substation. One of the practitioners was a
part time worker in Shijiazhuang. When he was caught, he shouted, "Falun
Dafa is good. Falun Dafa is the orthodox Fa (law or principle)." He did
this to awake the worldly people around him. Currently, the practitioner is
detained in the Yuhua Police Station. He is determined not to give out his name
and held a hunger strike to resist the persecution from the vicious police. We

22. [Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province] Two Vicious Policemen Torture
Falun Dafa Practitioners
Fan Xiaoguang, the Vice Political Commissar of Zhaodong Police Station
cruelly tortures Falun Dafa practitioners, which has resulted in retribution for
his wife. She got high-level paraplegia. After this matter was exposed, he did
not repent but hated Falun Dafa practitioners evenmore. On May 10, 2001, Fan
Xiaoguang went to a detention center after work and ordered Falun Gong
practitioners to raise their hands. Practitioner Gao Jingmei (female) did not
answer him and turned away. Police Fan remembered her, so he took her out of her
cell at night and beat her cruelly. Practitioner Gao Jingmei shouted, "A
policeman is beating me." Her shouting could be heard everywhere in the
detention center and that frightened policeman Fan. Practitioner Gao Jingmei was
sent back to the cell. At midnight, policeman Fan once again took her out of the
cell to a room and beat her cruelly, resulting in many bruises and cuts on her
face. Falun Dafa practitioner Dong Peng (male) was illegally detained in the
Zhaodong Detention Center for one and a half years. During the detention, the
police from Zhaodong Police Station planned to release him. However when they
discussed this with his elder brother, Dong Gang (who works in a police
substation), Dong Gang said, "What can we do if he goes to Beijing to
appeal after being released?" In June 2001, practitioner Dong Peng was
sentenced to forced labor re-education. Later, Dong Gang told his parents who
are over 60 years old and are also Falun Gong practitioners, "If Dong Peng
does not give up practicing Falun Gong in the labor camp, I will send both of
you to the camp!" Dong Gang did not allow practitioner Dong Peng's baby,
less than one year old, to see his father. He drove Dong Peng's wife back to the
village, and even planned to send his parents to a labor camp. If he treats his

23. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Police from Qitaihe Police Station
Persecuted and Broke up my Family
I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. My wife and I started to practice Falun Dafa
in 1997. We went to Beijing to appeal in November 1999, and were sentenced to
forced labor re-education after returning home. Police guards grabbed my wife's
hair and hit her head against the wall for practicing Falun Gong in jail. In
July 2000, she had an evil enlightenment and was reformed due to her
attachments. Half a year later, she was released. Through studying Dafa, she
regretted this very much and decided to clarify the truth of Dafa to make up the
losses. Soon the Qitaihe Police Station sent her back to the labor camp.
Currently, she is very determined in practicing Falun Dafa. It is impossible to
have her give up practicing Falun Gong. She is doing her best to save those
practitioners with evil enlightenment. I walked out of the jail in November
2000, and have become destitute and homeless. My son has also left home and is

24. [Beijing] Police Forcibly Kidnap a Falun Dafa Practitioner and Send her
to A Brainwashing Class
On about June 20, 2001, policeman Yang Decheng, from the Maizidian Police
Substation, Chaoyang District, Beijing leading other policemen, intruded into
the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Xie (female), and forcibly carried her to a
brainwashing class in Tuanhe Labor Camp. Her husband was confined to bed due to
paralysis and could not take care of himself. No other person was available to
take care of him at home. His eyes were filled with tears seeing that his wife
was carried away by force. The police forcibly sent the old man to Beijing Armed
Police Hospital. The reason they kidnapped practitioner Xie is because she
practiced Falun Gong at home.
25. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] A Falun Dafa Practitioner is Illegally Sent
to A Forced Labor Camp
Falun Dafa practitioner Dong Hong, from Hefei City, went to Beijing to appeal
in January 2001. Her family did not know her whereabouts for a while. Recently,
it was learned that she was illegally sentenced to one and a half years forced
labor re-education. She is imprisoned in Xin'an Labor Camp, Tiantanghe, Daxing
County, Beijing.
26. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Accounts of Criminal Offenses of
Vicious Thugs Li Baihe, Wang Yutao, and Chen Xiwen
Li Baihe from the County Police Station:
Wang Yutao from the County Detention Center: Dafa practitioner Deng Shumei from Dalianhe did not write a guarantee
statement to give up practicing Falun Gong. The police from the 610 Office (An
office created by the government to deal specifically with issues related to
Falun Gong) called her son back from the army and bullied Deng Shumei to
write the statement. She did not write. Her son swallowed a handful of sleeping
pills in front of her. Policeman Wang Yutao did not rescue him but pushed him
away. Deng Shumei was held in a detention center and could not rescue her son.
When doctors from Dalianhe Hospital arrived to rescue her son, tears were
flowing from their eyes. Later, the army unit took him back. Policeman Chen Xiwen from Sandaogang Town Police Substation: This thug beat Dafa practitioners cruelly and intimidated female Dafa
practitioners. He would say, "I will take you out to a ditch to rape
you." and so on.
