Whoever Persecutes Good People Is Destroying Himself

Qi Shucai, Party Secretary of the New Liujia Township, Nongan County, Jilin Province, followed closely the party directive to "defame their reputation, damage their body, collapse their spirit, and penalize them financially" when dealing with practitioners who refused to renounce Falun Dafa. During the period that practitioners were illegally detained, Qi's son had a car accident and one of his passengers died instantly. Qi had to pay 110,000 Yuan (Note: about 18 years salary of an average Chinese urban laborer) as compensation to the deceased's family.

Du Zhanlin, vice mayor of the New Liujia Township, Nongan County, Jilin Province, forced a female practitioner to sign a statement renouncing Falun Dafa at the local neighborhood public security office. When the practitioner refused to do so, Du Zhanlin got very angry and sent her to Wulilu Detention Center. One year later, Du's daughter was diagnosed with terminal illness. The family spent over 100,000 Yuan (Note: about 17 years salary of an average Chinese urban laborer) before she died.

Cai Fuchang, an officer at the New Liujia Neighborhood Public Security Office, confiscated numerous Falun Dafa materials on July 22. He sat on the book Zhuan Falun (Note: main teachings of Falun Dafa) and used an awl to stab and deface Master Li's picture. One year later, Cai had a car accident. His wife divorced him and he lost his job as a police officer.

Li Jingsheng, mayor of the New Liujia Township, Nongan County, Jilin Province, played an active role in persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. One day Li took a taxi to his mistress's place and on his way he had an accident near Liujia Township. He died instantly.

Liu Tinghua, village chief of Liujia Village, Kaian Township, Nongan County, slandered Falun Dafa and defamed practitioners on numerous occasions since July 22, 1999. He almost died from gas poisoning not long after that day. He still didn't learn from his mistakes. In June 2001, he led a group of people to paint over the Dafa slogans and threatened to shoot practitioners to death if he caught any of them. Liu almost died from electrical shock when he was maintaining electrical wires on July 16, 2001.
