(Clearwisdom.net) The Honorable Master said, "Every person you come into contact with in society is someone to clarify the truth to, and what's manifest in clarifying the truth is Dafa disciples' mercy and salvation of the people of the world." (To All Students at the Nordic Fa Conference, 2001)

Not long ago, a few of us Dafa disciples went out to rectify the Fa, giving us a chance to meet all kinds of people. We employed the abilities and special talents given us by Dafa in the human society to expose the evil and clarify the truth face to face, according to people's individuality. Moreover, we made it possible for some very good people to obtain Dafa. During this process and time, we experienced deeply the profoundness and greatness of Dafa. Here we want to share some stories and our personal experiences with fellow practitioners. All names in the article are pseudonyms.

Story 1: A Buddhist nun finally understood what cultivation is

Practitioner Daji was forced to leave his home. He had no place to stay. One day he came by a Buddhist nunnery. Upon seeing him, the nunnery's abbess told him right away that he was the reincarnation of a certain Buddha. Daji immediately told her, "I am not that Buddha. I am a Falun Dafa practitioner." Then he introduced the Dafa principles to them. They all listened with great interest. It was sad to see that their hearts had been longing for Buddha, but they had not obtained the main points, even though they have cultivated with combined practices for a long time. The abbess who is over 70 years old had cultivated for dozens of years, but she could not even sit in the lotus position. Finally the nuns heard the true cultivation practice. Daji taught them the exercises and copied down some poems from Master Li's book Hongyin for them. The Buddhist nuns now understand that the three words, "Truth, Compassion and Forbearance," and those poems are what they will study from now on.

Story 2: A pessimistic life found the meaning of life

Once on a bus, heading home, practitioner Tiansong started a chat with a young man next to him, traveling to his hometown. The talk began with a discussion of natural disasters and human tragedies. It happened that the young man's hometown was experiencing a severe drought. When rain finally came, it brought hail. Not only did they not have anything to harvest; a few people even died. When Tiansong said that many things were not happening by chance or due to superstition, the young man agreed completely. He once experienced supernatural things and also believed in their existence. He even said, "The so-called superstition is just something that is believed obsessively." Upon hearing this, Tiansong knew that this young man was an understanding person. He told him about some different cultivation practices in the past, and explained the "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance" principle to him a step further. The young man's mind suddenly was enlightened. He told Tiansong that his elder brother hung himself for not being able to endure the tyrannic ruling party. Not long ago, he himself had just experienced a setback and had been thinking of committing suicide as well. However, since he is the only son left in the family, he just barely survives for the sake of his parents. Today the young man heard of Dafa. He finally found the meaning of life. He wanted to live positively and to cultivate diligently. It was a coincidence that he works in my hometown. We exchanged our contact information and he was ready to obtain the Fa, once getting back. Dafa saved another life.

Story 3: A young monk stepped into Dafa's door

In a temple, practitioner Jinglan saw a young monk who looked very friendly and kind. She started a conversation with him, asking how he cultivated. He said that Buddhist practices are very messy. All the worship in this temple are "this Madam," "that Lady;" etc, all "grant whatever is requested." It is impossible to cultivate here. He was thinking to wander around to other temples. Jinglan then told him how, as a former lay-Buddhist she became a Dafa disciple and told him that currently, only Falun Dafa is the true cultivation practice. The young monk had a little previous knowledge of Falun Dafa. His aunt is a Dafa practitioner who was arrested from home by police. She stayed firm in her belief and did not give in under the pressure and is still detained in jail until today. The police searched his aunt's house from top to bottom, even having removed the heating ducts. His talk was filled with dislike of the evil forces and support for Dafa. Jinglan, seeing this young monk's good nature, started introducing the Dafa principles to him. The more he listened, the better he understood. He expressed that he wanted to cultivate Dafa. Finally, Jinglan gave him Zhuan Falun that she carried with her and also all Teacher's articles and an exercise tape.

Story 4: Dafa removes a person's hatred for society

Practitioner Ziwei learned from the taxi driver that he just had a bad experience with the police and was feeling down. Ziwei told him about some Dafa fellow practitioners known to her who have been tortured or beaten to death and the seizure of their properties by the police. She tried to make him feel better about his encounter. He was shocked by the stories and then told Ziwei that there were many people in his village practicing Falun Gong. There was a lady who used to have blood disorder but recovered after practicing Falun Gong. Then her daughter followed her to practice Falun Gong. Since both of them did not give up Dafa, both were sent to a labor camp. The taxi driver said, "If Falun Gong is not good, how come so many people practice Falun Gong? If Falun Gong is not good, why didn't they beat them at the beginning? Why are they doing only after the number of practitioners gets bigger?" Seeing him showing such sympathy to Dafa, Ziwei told him about her real status, and told him about Dafa principles and the real reason behind this evil persecution. He was deeply moved after hearing this and said, "The police fined me 3,000 Yuan, [about $360, could be half a year's income from an ordinary worker] saying that I carried a person in my taxi whom I was not supposed to give a ride to. There was no mark on his face; how could I know who he is? I am a mountain man. It is not easy for me to manage, to get by in today's world. At the moment this happened I thought to myself 'if it happens again, I would fight with them with my life.' Then my future would be completely destroyed. It is fortunate that you taught me such principles. I no longer feel any hatred. You really saved me. Please be more careful!"

There are so many stories! Each of them makes us feel grateful. We are using all we know and all we have learned to promote Dafa. Disciples with calligraphy skills have painted at crowded places, painting Dafa's poems. Many people circled around, watching, praising the paintings, one after another, reading, "Seems real; seems mystical, then practice it; seems fuzzy; seems clear, then think of it." (A paraphrased quotation from Hongyin; the translation here is not official.) Thus, the Fa entered the minds of another group of lives.

During truth clarification we feel people's comprehension becomes clearer and clearer and the aspect of human beings' true nature is eager to govern the people to listen to the Fa. Wherever we visited, there were always people surrounding us, which is different from the past. They would start the topic on Falun Gong, which no longer required us to lead the conversation. However since people are in the maze, they often talked negatively. At that moment, we started to clarify the truth. All the listeners experienced some change of mind.

Here is another story. A practitioner was posting a "Falun Dafa Is Good" poster when an old man spotted him. The old man just said, "Now the world has changed!" and laughed. Then this practitioner saw the old man's main spirit came out from his Baihui acupuncture point (a point on the top of the head) and danced above his head. Actually the true nature of a person is very clear. If he/she does not hear the truth, his/her life will perish. Now we feel the most regretful thing is that we did not clarify the truth when we were not in good situations.

Master allows us to eliminate the evils with our righteous thoughts. YET, we feel this is done to make it easier for us to save ordinary people. Some practitioners not only seem to finally find a way to join the Fa-rectification but also manage not to be caught by police, by making a choice to stay at home doing the exercises and reading the book, and sending forth righteous thoughts. They no longer go out to pass out flyers, or do face-to-face truth-clarifying. We believe what those practitioners are doing is not complete. Although they can eliminate the evil factors that control ordinary people, they don't let the human side of people understand that Falun Dafa is good. We are the "unity of body and spirit" (translation). Only we can clarify the truth to people. "So in clarifying the truth, don't wait, don't rely on others, and don't just hope for changes in external factors. Every one of us is creating a history for the future; that's why everyone is not only participating in group activities, but also taking the initiative to look for work to do. As long as something is good for Dafa, you should take the initiative to do it, take the initiative to work on it. Every person you come into contact with in society is someone to clarify the truth to, and what's manifest in clarifying the truth is Dafa disciples' mercy and salvation of the people of the world." As a matter of fact, it is due to fear that some practitioners don't want to clarify the truth. However, in our experience, we feel when we come out to expose the evil and clarify the truth, the more we take the initiative, the safer we are. When we Dafa practitioners are doing our best of validating the Fa in the human society, some of us feel the ultimate splendor on the back and the countless Fa-watching Gods protecting us, which is just like the spirit of "The great invincible Dao running through the heaven and earth." In writing my previous article "'Using at Will' During Fa-rectification," (published on August 14, 2001 on Chinese Minghui) I felt it is easy doing Fa-rectification. This time when writing on "Saving Human Beings," I felt it is so joyful when doing Fa-rectification. Perhaps this joy and happiness can only be felt when a life melts into the Fa.
