Official Instructions in China: Report Falun Gong Death Cases to Each Higher Level to Maintain Consistency of Public Statements

(Clearwisdom.net) An official document has recently been transmitted within the Chinese judicial system, requesting that all local law enforcement agencies, including labor camps, prisons and detention centers, learn a lesson from the Wanjia Labor Camp. [In the aftermath of the June killing of 15 female Dafa practitioners, various government agencies released statistics about the number of deaths which differed greatly. Ed.] When death cases of Falun Gong practitioners occur, the responsible agencies must report these cases to each higher level of government in succession, so as to maintain the consistency of public statements from the top to the low-level offices.

In addition, the word circulating within the judicial system is that the number of Falun Gong practitioners who have been sentenced to imprisonment is still insufficient.

According to the analysis of a Chinese official who is sympathetic toward Falun Gong, there is much evidence to indicate that under ever-increasing international pressure, the Jiang Zemin regime intends to escalate the suppression against Falun Gong on the one hand, while on the other hand, it will try to cover up the brutal violence against the detained practitioners. Therefore, it is very likely that the government will soon alter its persecution methods and adopt new ones.

Fellow practitioners in Mainland China should stay alert, and try to do more detailed work in exposing the evil, while expanding the scope and depth of our strong efforts to clarify the truth.
