By a practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) Zhang Yuanming lived in Zhencai village of Zhancai Town in Nong'an County, Jilin Province. In 2000, he took 20,000 Yuan with him [for travel and his expenses for staying in Beijing] and went to Beijing to appeal. Beijing police arrested him, confiscated all his money and illegally sentenced him to two years of forced labor.

In November of last year, I was detained at the Fenjin Labor Camp together with Zhang Yuanming. He was around 1.80 meters [about 6 ft] tall and at that time very thin. Because of the torture during long-term incarceration he appeared quite old, weighing only around 130 Jin [about 143 pound]. When he was healthy, he weighed 170 Jin [about 187 pound]. He was a little deaf so we had to shout when talking to him. Because of his poor appetite, he ate very little; sometimes he drank some soybean milk. In order to make us give up Dafa cultivation, instructor Zhao in the camp prohibited family visits and didn't allow Zhang to have any soybean milk powder. Zhang became weaker and weaker and needed assistance when going up and down stairs. Later on he coughed all night long, for days on end. In order not to disturb others' rest, he often got up in the middle of the night and went to the restroom to cough. This severe coughing made him break out in a cold sweat.

Zhang Yuanming has left us. This is another fact of the devastation committed against Falun Gong practitioners by Jiang Zemin's criminal regime.
