[China] Jiang Zemin's Criminal Regime Hastily Retracts A Secret Document: "Imprison (Falun Gong Practitioners) for Life"

The essential gist of this hastily retracted document is that Falun Gong practitioners can be secretly arrested and thrown into prison for life. If any policeman finds practitioners but does not arrest them, he will be fired and his household registration will be revoked.

In addition, in order to escalate its persecution of Dafa, Jiang Zemin's criminal regime issued documents which state that the incidents of practitioners being tortured to death in labor camps, custodial centers, detention centers and brainwashing classes shall be twisted and reported as suicides so as to deceive kind-hearted people.

The documents further stated that, in line with orders from the central government and provincial party committees, some regulations regarding the reporting of sudden incidents and news reports were laid out. One of the regulations states that as to the "natural death" of Falun Gong practitioners in different labor camps or brainwashing classes, the local "610 Offices" and propaganda departments should appoint the official local media to report (the "natural deaths") as soon as possible, and the related departments should provide a detailed report of how they happened, plus a "back-up explanation to outsiders."

We also learned about another item in this so-called "regulation": "As to those studying abroad, and overseas Chinese and foreigners who participate in Falun Gong activities in China, some actions consistent with the law should be taken." Experts suspect the recent cases of overseas Falun Gong practitioners' disappearances are directly related to this "regulation."

On August 26, 2001, a practitioner and I began our journey of going to Beijing to safeguard Dafa. Before our departure we repeatedly went over Teacher's new articles, which heavily emphasize the importance of using righteous thoughts and supernormal abilities. "Since you step forward, you should try to succeed in validating the Fa--this is the real purpose of stepping forward." (Rationality) We realized that no matter how far a Dafa cultivator has progressed already, he still has to meet this requirement in order to become a Dafa disciple in Fa rectification. As long as we let go of attachments to fame, personal interests and sentimentality, imagine ourselves as gods with an enormous bodies, then all the demons trying to take advantage of our attachments, and vicious beings trying to persecute us, will all turn into ashes in front of us. Along with all the supernormal abilities Teacher endowed us with, we sent forth the righteous thoughts that we must come back on the same day.

Everything was ready and we set off. On the way, we kept sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate vicious beings in other dimensions. It was around 11 a.m. when we got to Tiananmen Square. At first we walked around the Square. We discovered that there were a lot of tourists near Jinshui Bridge. We chose a spot and sent forth righteous thoughts to "let the vicious policemen around us go away." The other practitioner unfurled the banner and we shouted, "Falun Dafa is Good." At that time, my head was totally empty. Soon after I finished saying the word "good," a male tourist behind me also shouted, "Good." Then we shouted, "Restore Teacher's reputation, Falun Dafa is the righteous cultivation way." We walked several steps and no one bothered us. So we put back the banner and calmly left the square. We successfully got on a train and went back home.

The Fa-rectification is not yet over. We should make more efforts and try to do better with Fa-rectification things, study the Fa more diligently and keep up with the process of Fa-rectification.

[China] Walking out of the Police Station with Righteous Thoughts

Since July 22, 1999 (the day the Chinese government banned Falun Gong) I have remained firm in my cultivation. Whether at my workplace or at home, I acted according to the Fa, to be a good person who complies with "Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance." At 8 p.m. on June 27, 2001, four policemen tricked me into the local police station. The director of the police station said, "We'll give you this one last chance to turn in Dafa books. Will you give them to us or not?" I did not cooperate with the vicious forces. So they ransacked my home and detained me in the police station. I was not allowed to go home that night. At midnight the police wanted to sleep, so they cuffed one of my hands to the head of the bed. When they all went to sleep, I continuously sent forth righteous thoughts in my heart. The handcuff opened, I walked toward the door and opened the lock on the anti-theft door. It made a big noise. Pushing the door open, I walked out. Amazingly, the policemen were not even slightly aware. I am sincerely grateful to our Teacher's compassion and thank Dafa for endowing me with wisdom and supernormal abilities.

Some Dafa practitioners had been thinking of going to the remote mountainous areas to promote the Fa and disclose the viciousness. On August 21, 2001, two practitioners happened to meet each other. After their meticulous arrangement and under Teacher's compassionate caring, two male practitioners and four female practitioners (one is over 50 years old) carried a bag of truth-clarifying literature and arrived at a town without incident. They distributed a lot of Dafa literature to clarify the truth and returned home safely. When they came back home at 1 a.m. the next morning, they felt very happy, but no one felt tired at all.

[Huanghua City, Hebei Province] Dafa practitioners in Huanghua City Clarify the Truth with Righteous Thoughts

In recent months, practitioners from Huanghua City, Cangzhou District, Hebei Province have frequently hung up many Dafa banners on the trees in the main streets. Dafa banners were also found even in the courtyard of the police station and custodial center. The police station officers got very angry and changed two gate guards. Practitioner Yuan Shan (pseudonym) was hanging the banner outside the courthouse when a car stopped in front of him. One person popped out his head to watch him and at the same time called the police. At first, Yuan Shan wanted to run away, but he thought that he should protect the Dafa banner. So he decided to protect the banner with his body; he would safeguard the Fa with his life. Once the righteous thought came out, that car drove away soon. The Dafa banner was shining outside the courthouse, and the sight of it made the vicious people terrified.

At the end of June, some practitioners went to the villages around Huanghua

City and distributed more than 1000 copies of truth-clarifying literature. Local security personnel found them and cordoned off the village and threatened through a speaker to search for and catch practitioners. They employed many policemen to search. When they used flashlights to search everywhere for practitioners, the practitioners sent out righteous thoughts from where they were hiding. As a result, the vicious people did not find them even when they were very close to the practitioners. These practitioners returned home safely.

According to reliable information, "Hebei Law-Education Center" was preparing to build two buildings of three stories, with each story having about 40 rooms including big classrooms to brainwash and persecute practitioners. These vicious people plan to start to commit this crime in September.

[Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] The Current Persecution of Dafa Practitioners in Lanzhou City

The police from the Chengguan Police Station took Zhang Xiaoping, a female practitioner, away 10 days ago. After three days of illegal interrogation, she was put into criminal detention in the Chengguan District Detention Center (Dashaping). It is reported that one practitioner confessed that it was Zhang Xiaoping who gave the truth-clarifying literature to her. This person was arrested again after being released and also detained in the same detention center with Zhang Xiaoping. Zhang Xiaoping had been detained for 15 days in 2000 for going to Beijing to appeal. Later on, local police searched her home and took away Dafa materials. Before cultivating Dafa, she was retired due to a physical problem. She was seriously sick. After she started to learn Dafa, she became healthy and returned to work. All relatives and friends knew about her changes.

Sun, another female practitioner has been detained in the Chengguan District Detention Center since May 2001. No details are known. Chengguan District Detention Center is a very dark place. They force practitioners to peel melon seeds (once reported on Clearwisdom.net). Two practitioners who were released were so thin that even their friends could not recognize them.

Around March 20, 2001, two policemen from Qilihe Police Station home searched and arrested practitioner Du Xin. He has been detained in Lanzhou Custodial Center (Xiguoyuan) for more than 5 months.

[Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province] Custodial Center Police Illegally Detain Dafa Practitioners and Extort Money from them

From the middle of July to the end of August, Baoqing County's 853 Farm Custodial Center has illegally detained nine practitioners and forced practitioners' families to pay huge fines of 7,000 Yuan (one year's average salary). One practitioner's family member who is over 60 years old could not afford the fine. Consequently, this person was thus put into the custodial center and made to perform heavy manual labor like a common criminal for one and a half months.

Presently, these nine practitioners have been transferred to Hongxinglong's Custodial Center. Because they insisted on doing the exercises, their situation is very dangerous.

[Yanshan County] Police Criminal Acts

On August 29, 2001, more than ten policemen from Yanshan County's No.3 Police Branch and Qingyun Town's Police Station carrying electric batons and handcuffs invaded Qingyun Town's Yuhuanzhen Village to arrest practitioners. When they saw practitioner Yu Zeting on the street they took him away by force. As Yu Zeting did not cooperate with them, seven or eight policemen pushed him to the ground and handcuffed him. His nose and mouth were beaten to the point of bleeding. They threw him into their car and drove away. Another practitioner, Zuo Chunhua and her daughter, Yu Hong, went to Qingyun Town's Police Station on business and were detained by force. They were then sent to Yanshan County's "brainwashing class." The police's criminal deeds have caused great indignation to the kind-hearted people.

For days, Yanshan County's Secretary of the Political and Judiciary Committee, Wang Taichang, had ordered the police to arrest practitioners at all places and send them to "brainwashing classes" to force them to give up their cultivation. People who do not obey will be tortured. He even declared, "Giving up cultivation, one can leave; otherwise, one can never leave." If one still insisted on cultivating after the second brainwashing class, one would be sent to labor camp. The responsible persons for the brainwashing classes are: the Deputy Secretary of the County's Political and Judiciary Committee, Ma Ruicai, and the Deputy director of the Political Committee in the Police Department, Zhang Weizhi. They both viciously tortured practitioners personally. They are very violent.

[Baoji City, Shannxi Province] A Practitioner from GaoJia Village of Baoji City is Reported While Distributing Dafa Materials and is Brutally Tortured

In Gaojia Village, Baoji City, Shannxi Province, a practitioner who sells watermelons was reported and arrested by some vicious people while he was distributing Dafa materials to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to the public. Two policemen (the last name of one of them is Ma) brutally beat him, and now he has been in a coma in a hospital for over a week. People who went to see him said that the skin on his hands seemed to have been ripped off.

[Dehui City, Jilin Province] Police Persecute Dafa Practitioners

After 4 p.m. on August 16, 2001, while a Dehui City practitioner, Gao Hui, was posting Dafa truth-clarifying materials on the walls, guards of the City Management Department seized him and sent him to the police department. In jail, Gao Hui went on a hunger strike to protest. However, only within six days, he was sentenced to three years of forced labor.

Wang Kefei is a female practitioner in Changchun City. She went to Beijing in August 2001 to validate the Fa. The thugs illegally sent her to a labor camp. Now she is being held in the Heizuizi Female Labor Camp in Changchun City.

Zhu Qi is a female practitioner. The police often went to her home and harassed her. When she refused to cooperate and didn't open the door, the thugs cut off her water and electricity supply. She had to get water from the ground floor. Later, the malicious police tricked her into opening the door by lying that they would not arrest her. However, after she opened the door, they carried her into the police van by force and sent her to the Heizuizi Female Labor Camp.

Yu Zonghui is 60 years old. For two days straight he was forced to take the "tiger bench" [a cruel punishment in which the prisoner is forced to stay still at all times; sometimes the executor even puts a wooden plank on the prisoner's calves while he is kneeling and have someone stand on it to aggravate the pain], which caused him to lose control of his bowels. At that time, the extent of his bodily injuries were unclear. Later it was said that his ankles were severely wounded and festering. Even now, he still has to hold onto the wall when walking and his back is bent at a 90-degree angle.

Thugs, including Zhang Zhengzhen, committed atrocious deeds everywhere. They went to a place located at Xinlong Mountain where practitioners were tortured in a so-called brainwashing class. They beat up a female practitioner and fractured her leg. Right now this practitioner is still being illegally detained. This thug, who used extremely malevolent and depraved means, also inflicted devastating injuries to Zhang Yufeng and Li Zong (pseudonyms.)

[Taonan City, Jilin Province] Police Kidnap Practitioner Zhao Liming

Around 5 p.m. on August 16, 2001, practitioner Zhao Liming from Changchun City clarified the truth in Taonan City. Liu Xiuqin, the director of Yongkang Street's Community Office, discovered him and called people at the Yongkang Police Station. Instructor Liu Wanjiang and deputy chief Li Shoujun from the Yongkang Police Station brought a group of policemen on motorcycles to kidnap Zhao Liming.

Wang Shuqin is a female practitioner from Changchun City. She went to Beijing's Tiananmen Square on August 30 and was kidnapped by thugs.

Ningbo, a practitioner in Yunnan Province has five brothers and sisters. Among the three brothers, two were sentenced to two years in labor camp and the other to three years of forced labor. The two sisters are still being held in a custodial center. Another three secondary school teachers were forced to leave home because their school tried to coerce them to attend a brainwashing class.

[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Police Station Authorities Hire and Entice Laid-off Workers to Engage in Criminal Activities

Changchun City's Erdao Branch Police Station hired laid-off workers to arrest practitioners who distributed Dafa literature to clarify the truth in neighborhood communities. Beginning September 1, authorities from the Erdao Branch Police Station raised large amounts of money and used it to hire laid-off workers from Changchun City's Tractor Factory and from the Shougang Residential Diesel Factory. They paid these workers 200 Yuan [about US $25] a month plus an award of from between 1,000 ~2000 Yuan [about US $125~$250] for capturing one practitioner. They placed these people in every single building. At the same time each month, one random person would patrol and together with the police arrest practitioners during the night, from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. the next day. This person gets paid several hundred Yuan each time. Currently, Changchun City's Police Department is escalating the money raising effort and promoting this wicked method throughout the city. We hope practitioners will send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil.

He habitually sat on the recliner with his legs crossed and closed his eyes. This is a very common resting posture. However, a vicious plainclothes policeman noticed his behavior. His kind were everywhere in the streets. They are all over the city and specialize in arresting Falun Gong practitioners. Acting as if he found a treasure, he rudely took this person away to the local police station and wouldn't release him, in spite of his countless explanations. The testimony of his family, neighborhood committee and workplace all failed to move the police, who claimed, "(we can) arrest (anyone) who does anything similar to Falun Gong (exercises). It doesn't matter a bit how badly we treat him!" After their pleadings failed, the family of the victim had no other choice but to bribe and send in presents to the police. In the end, they gave the vicious police several hundred Yuan "reward money" that was spent on a luxurious meal before they finally released the victim.

The family hates the police's malicious conduct to the bone. They said, "(he) wrongly arrested the person, and instead of taking any legal responsibilities, he collected reward money by force. What kind of dark regime is this? Where are human rights in China? Where is the legal system?"

[Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Criminal Record of Police Officers from Heping Street Police Station in Chengdu City

Wicked policewoman Li Su from the Heping Street Police Station is dedicated to persecuting practitioner Zhong Shurong, a retired teacher from Chengdu City No.51 Middle School. A policewoman named Bian Ying in the Shuanglin Police Station persecutes practitioners very viciously. During the Spring Festival, she led a gang of policemen to arrest female practitioner Gu living in the Lianhe residential area. As she couldn't find the apartment unit, she madly banged the door of each apartment. In one of the apartments, a child who was left home alone became frightened by the vicious behavior of Bian Ying and cried loudly. The child dared not to open the door and called his (or her) parents while crying. His parents immediately dialed 110 (emergency number in China). When the police arrived at the apartment, they found it was the vicious gang of Bian Ying. Upon arriving home, the parents were extremely indignant. They immediately called the Shuanglin Police Station and demanded an apology and compensation for their mental anguish. Being afraid of people's indignant and righteous demands, the director of the Shuanglin Police Station visited this family and apologized.

They took money from practitioners and never returned it.

Dafa practitioners will never lower their heads to the vicious forces. Di Shuqing is still wandering about and is unable to go home. She has been suffering from all kinds of tribulations.

[Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Retired Official Dai Zhong from Shenyang City Police Department Smears Dafa

Retired official Dai Zhong from the Shenyang City Police Department is now 75 years old. On the issue of persecuting Falun Gong, this person couldn't tell right from wrong and did bad deeds to help the evil. Around July 20, 1999, he wrote a 220-sentence long piece of literature to smear Dafa.
