Practitioners Zhang Zhenzhong and Wang Jinlong of Shandong Province Were Tortured to Death

Zhang Zhenzhong, male, 23, Shenxian County, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province

Zhang Zhenzhong, a student of Shandong Industrial University in Jinan City, was arrested in May for distributing literature which told the truth about Falun Gong. In May 2001, he and several practitioners went to Yue Fei Temple [Chinese hero in the ancient time] in Tangyin County, Henan Province, to distribute Dafa materials. Here, he was arrested and sent to the county police department. During his detention, Zhang started a hunger strike and never cooperated with the evil. The brutal police forced-fed him many times, which caused severe hemorrhaging of the esophagus. Zhang was tortured to death within ten days.

Wang Jinlong, male, 34, Junan County, Linyi City, Shandong Province

In August 2001, Falun Gong practitioner Wang Jinlong was arrested while clarifying the truth to people with two other practitioners in Jindouying Town of Yanggu County. He started a hunger strike in the Yanggu County Police Department. The police forced-fed him many times. About half a month later, Wang was tortured to death. His body was sent to Yanggu County People's Hospital for an autopsy before the case settled down. According to an insider at the hospital, Wang's body was sent to the crematorium and kept frozen; then, as a final outrage, the wicked police extorted money from Wang's family members when they came to get his ashes.

To cover up this case, Guo Zhongxi, the security team leader of Yanggu County Police Department and several other police who persecuted practitioners, were transferred to other work places. Guo was transferred to Xihu Town Police Station of Yanggu County. The Yanggu County Detention Center chief was transferred to Zhangqiu Town Police Station.
