[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Completely Wipe out the Vicious Plan of
the Evil Forces in Changchun City
On September 4, 2001, the Changchun City Committee Propaganda Department and
the City Committee "610" Office jointly sent out a notice requesting
that each and every county and district start another round of brainwashing
classes before September 10, 2001.
Let's find out our omissions and not give the evil forces any excuses for
persecuting [the Fa and Falun Dafa practitioners] and completely wipe out any
arrangements made by the evil forces. Let's eliminate the evil by sending forth
the purest righteous thoughts to eradicate the evil's intention of destroying
the Fa.
[Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] The Righteousness of a Falun Dafa
Practitioner Overpowers Maliciousness
A clerk from the local Community Committee called a Falun Dafa practitioner
and requested that he go and see an exhibition slandering Dafa. The practitioner
firmly answered, "I absolutely won't go!" The clerk said, "There
is nothing I can do [to let you off]." The practitioner said, "There
is nothing you can do, but there is something I can do!" The clerk's voice
trembled, "Don't go to Beijing! I beg you! OK, I'll talk to them and you
don't need to see the exhibition." The righteous thoughts of the
practitioner overpowered the maliciousness trying to test him.

Practitioners Escape from Detention
On April 20, some policemen from the County Police Station took me away from
my home and detained me at the County Nursing House. They beat me with a police
baton and brutally tortured other practitioners with various inhumane methods.
We weren't even able to sit after the torture. However, I was not afraid.
On May 4, they again harshly and inhumanely beat me and tortured me. They
even hired four or five ruffians to curse us and beat us. The County Government
leaders, including Yang Xuelin and Qu Deping, together with Police Officer Song,
Police Officer Yan and the ruffians they hired, Du Renhui and Ao Si, beat me
with police batons. All these five or six people punched me, kicked me and beat
me until I fell to the ground. My chest and my back were bruised and swollen. My
legs felt numb, indicating they had damaged my sciatic nerve. I couldn't even step
over a threshold. Facing such viciousness, none of our practitioners was afraid.
We kept clarifying the truth to them. Finally they decided to send us to
Shuangcheng City Detention Center since they could tell we were firm with the
Fa. That night four of us escaped.
[Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Qilihe District Police Station Persecutes
Falun Dafa Practitioners
Xue Qiaolan was a 61-year-old female Falun Dafa practitioner. In December
2000, she and her sister went to Beijing to work in a restaurant. On their way
to Beijing, some policemen from Lanzhou City illegally removed them from the
train and sent them to Taoshuping Detention Center. They went on a hunger strike
to protest the illegal treatment until they were released on the 7th
day of their detention. On January 19, 2001, the police from Qilihe District
Police Station deceived them into entering Xiguoyuan Custodial Center saying,
"We need to talk to you at the local community committee." During the
illegal detention period, Xue Qiaoyun suffered from cerebral hemorrhaging, but
nobody from the Custodial Center cared. Until the beginning of May, she was
unable to move her body. Only then, did the Custodial Center notify her family
to take her back home. She still has difficulty getting about and taking care of
herself. Her sister was detained for over half a year. She was bailed out
because the Qilihe District police extorted 1000 Yuan RMB (about three months'
salary for a common assembly worker in China) from her family.
Grandpa Du was a male Falun Dafa practitioner in his seventies. His hair and
beard were all white. He was also sent to a brainwashing class. He refused to
denounce the Fa, so Qilihe District Police Station police sent him to Xiguoyuan
Custodial Center. He spent several months there, during which period he suffered
from constipation for more than twenty days. The custodial center was afraid he
would die in their hands, so they told his family to take him back home.
Falun Dafa practitioner Xiao Yanhong was in her thirties. She was a nurse in
Gansu Province's Women and Children's Health Center. She went to Beijing in 1999
to validate the Fa. Qilihe District Police Station sent her to Xiguoyuan
Custodial Center also. Later, she was sentenced to Pingantai Labor Camp for one
year. She was illegally detained for another three months after she completed
her term. Then she was sent to the Qilihe and Hanjiahe brainwashing classes. She
published her "solemn statement" on Clearwisdom. net, so she was again
detained in Xiguoyuan Custodial Center. She has spent five months there. Even
the criminals felt indignant on her behalf, seeing the lawless acts of the
police.

[Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] A Warning to Those in Mudanjiang
City Railroad Police Station and Zhanqian Substation
The police in Heilongjiang Province, Mudanjiang City Railroad Police Station
and Zhanqian Substation put the picture of our great, benevolent Teacher on the
ground at the ticketing exits at the railroad station. Travelers had to step on
the picture on their way out. They used this method to identify Falun Dafa
practitioners [since practitioners would not step on Teacher's picture].
We hope more kind-hearted people will learn the truth of Falun Gong. Don't be
fooled by vicious fabrications and deceitful lies. Let us together condemn Jiang
Zemin, the representative of the evil forces. Let us together condemn the
shameless deeds committed by Heilongjiang Province, Mudanjiang City Railroad
Police Station and Zhanqian Substation.

[Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Kidnapped and Taken to
Brainwashing Class
Practitioner Cui, 54 years old, is a resident of Haizhu District Guangzhou
City. Around 9 AM on August 24, four policemen, three of whom were in
plainclothes, came to her daughter and son-in-law's house where she lives. The
policemen lied to her daughter and son-in-law, telling them that the leader of
their mother's work unit wanted to talk to her. They then kidnapped Cui and took
her to a brainwashing class.

[China] New Evil Crimes: Sign a Guarantee Before Being Admitted to College
Recently, many students who have taken college entrance exams were exposed to
a new evil procedure adopted by some colleges and universities. Accepted
applicants or their parents are being asked by the schools for a guarantee
letter stating that they do not practice Falun Gong. The college will not issue
the admission letter to the applicants until this letter is received. Other
colleges and universities said that they are requesting all newly registered
students to fill out a questionnaire about Falun Gong. Those who express any
sympathy towards Falun Gong will be dismissed immediately.
The colleges and universities claim that they are doing this as a result of
great pressure from high-level authorities; they want to avoid any future
trouble with them.
[Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Hypocritical "Science School"
In Deyang City Sichuan Province, there is a so-called "School for the
Promotion of Science." The principal is named Luo and the teachers are He,
Liu, and Jie. It has three young, strong "security guards" and it is
under the leadership of the city's "610 Office."
Those running the school are hypocrites. They "teach" scientific
theories to detained practitioners, yet when practitioners argue with them about
their facts and theories, they answer with beatings.
Over ten practitioners were detained at the school.
From Guanghai District: male practitioners Chen Liang, Junior Yu, and Grandpa
Jiang and three female practitioners whose names are not known.
From Shifang District: male practitioner Grandpa Liu and female practitioner
Wan.
From Mianzhu District: four female practitioners whose names are not known.
Until now, all the detained practitioners are very steadfast and have gone on
hunger strikes to protest the evil. Some with unyielding attitudes are locked in
small cells or sent to labor camps.
We were also notified that many practitioners from Shifang District are
detained or sent to forced labor camps. They are:
Chen Weiyi and Lin Shihua, are detained in Shifang City Custodial Center on
the charge of "hindering law enforcement."
Chen Wenqiong was sent to do forced labor, but is now released and living
under surveillance.
Chen Yuqiong, was sent to do forced labor, but had to be bailed out to
receive medical treatment.
Zeng Xiaocheng and Chen Bi, a husband and wife, were sent to forced labor
camp.
Li Weiqing was sent to do forced labor.
Diao Kaiyun was sent to do forced labor.
Wu Shicui was sent to do forced labor. Her husband has divorced her as a
result of being persuaded and tempted by the persecutors.
Liu, was sent to do forced labor. Her husband has also divorced her as a
result of being persuaded and tempted by the persecutors.
[Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Xigang District Police Department Uses
Temporary Transferring House to Make Money
In the back yard of the Dalian Xigang District Police Department, there is a
small temporary transferring house called the "monitored warehouse."
The house is divided into cells about 4 square meters in size, including a 0.8 meter
wide "toilet area." Each cell also has two very dirty quilts.
For such living conditions, the police department will charge 50 Yuan (about
US$6) per bed each night. Outside the house, the regulations posted on the wall
state that people can only be kept in the temporary transferring house for a
maximum of 48 hours. The fact is that, rarely is anyone released within 48
hours. This is especially true for Falun Gong practitioners or detainees related
to Falun Gong. They are often detained in these holding cells for a long time.
Insiders say that sometimes there are as many as 32 people detained in one cell.
Thus the amount of illegal profit from this "monitored warehouse" can
be quite a lot.
[China] A Suggestion About Clarifying the Truth
Once, a friend who does chain-sales gave me a tip. This friend wanted to
expand his sales net so he tried very hard to contact everyone he knew,
including friends from a long time ago and classmates. Even while talking to
total strangers, he tries all means to promote his products. As particles of the
Great Law, can we learn something from his spirited behavior? The chain sales
people are selfish but we are not. We can contact all people that we have had
contact with and tell them the truth and expose the evil. By doing so, we are
validating the Fa and safeguarding the Fa in an open and aboveboard way.
Moreover, we would be talking to people face to face.
If we clarify the truth to all the people we have some connections with, that
might add up to be as many as 1 billion Chinese. Thus, we would not miss anyone
that can be saved. Also, while clarifying the truth face to face, our weak
points in understanding the Fa will be exposed.
Of course there will be a lot of negative interference. Yet for every being
that is saved, the space the evil force can occupy will shrink. This will
require that we study the Fa more, eliminate our human thoughts, and clarify the
truth from the standpoint of Fa in order to penetrate deep into the micro levels
of beings, show the power and goodness of the Fa, and save everyday people.
At the same time, I'd suggest that we recite Teacher's verse "The Fa
Rectifies the Cosmos, the Evil is Completely Eliminated" to clean the
person's surroundings before we clarify the truth to him. The effect will be
better.
This is just my personal understanding. I welcome Dafa practitioners to
