Guangzhou TV Fabricates Story to Slander Dafa


(Clearwisdom.net) Zou Ling formerly worked as a nurse in the x-ray department of the Guangzhou Cancer Hospital. She committed suicide one morning in May 1999 because of family troubles. This is but one of many accounts of family tragedies in China. However, this particular case was twisted by Jiang Zemin and his associates to slander Falun Gong.

One day in late July or early August of 1999, a report on the "City Topics" program on Guangzhou TV blamed Zou Ling's death on her practice of Falun Gong. The program quoted an administrator of the hospital making irresponsible and untruthful remarks, wrongfully attributing Zou's death to Falun Gong. In fact, Zou Ling was not even a practitioner. Zou's husband Chen Guiquan is a doctor in the same hospital where his wife worked. He is not a practitioner and states that his wife also had never practiced Falun Gong. We called on one of Zou Ling's former colleagues who also said that they had never heard or seen her practice Falun Gong.
