(Clearwisdom.net) Since late 1999, Shijiazhuang City No.373 police station has extorted huge sums of "guarantee deposits" [usually extorted from the practitioner's family to force them to guarantee that the practitioner will not go to Beijing to appeal, or the deposits will be confiscated] from Dafa practitioners who have gone to Beijing to legally appeal. The sum extorted ranges from 10,000 to 25,000 Yuan [equivalent to 1.5 to 4 years' salary of an ordinary urban worker in China] from every practitioner without issuing receipts. They also illegally detained and sent practitioners to forced labor "re-education" and forcefully broke up families. The chief policeman Wu Fucai and deputy chief Xin Changhua were ruthless to practitioners and were unscrupulously collecting money through every possible means.
Practitioner Liu Chongxiao (male) went to Beijing last December to legally appeal but was unlawfully detained. His family was forced to pay a 10,000-Yuan "guarantee deposit." This spring Liu was arrested again while he was clarifying the truth outside his hometown. The No. 373 police station then illegally confiscated the "guarantee deposit" of 10,000 Yuan and illegally sentenced him to 1 year of forced labor. As his health situation did not meet the conditions for forced labor, they implemented his sentence outside of prison. Recently, he was once again taken away by the No.373 police station for no reason.
Practitioner Wang Xia (female) went to Beijing last October to legally appeal. She was then illegally kept under surveillance at home (at that time her baby was not even 1 year old and was still being breast-fed). Her family was also forced to hand in 10,000 Yuan as a "guarantee deposit." When she went to Beijing again in December to appeal for Falun Gong, the police confiscated the 10,000 Yuan and put pressure on her husband to divorce her. As her husband was afraid of being implicated, they were forced to divorce early this year. At that time their baby had just turned one year old.
Last year, many truth-clarifying materials about Falun Gong appeared in the No. 54 Institution and its staff residential area. The police station put up notices everywhere to declare a "reward" of 3,000 Yuan to any evil person who would identify the source of the materials. In May and June of this year, when the truth-clarifying materials appeared again in both commercial and residential areas, the "reward" was raised to 5,000 Yuan. Some practitioners distributing and putting up truth-clarifying materials in the residential area were reported by the evil people. After being taken away by the police station, some were then illegally fined 3,000 Yuan and some were illegally detained.
Here is a stern warning to all the policemen who are not law-abiding: It is a heavenly law that good will be rewarded with good and evil is met with evil. We hope that you will awaken in time and be able to distinguish right from wrong, good from evil, kindness from wickedness, and offer yourself a bright future.
