[Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Vicious Police Commit Crimes
Again
On August 29, 2001, Dalian City police detained Jinxiu
Residential District practitioners Diao Yanchun and Qu Lianxi who had been
living in exile. The practitioners' whereabouts are unclear. Police confiscated
their computer with CD-writer device, laser printer, copy machine, pager,
cellular phone and some cash.

Camp
It is reported that 18 male Dafa practitioners are protesting
the vicious illegal detention and inhuman persecution with a hunger strike in
Dalian City Labor Camp. They are demanding their unconditional release. They
have continued on the hunger strike for more than 20 days. In order to disturb
practitioners' righteous thoughts, the vicious guards separate them into
different units. One practitioner was extremely weak due to the longtime hunger
strike. He was sent to the hospital. We hope Dalian City practitioners send
forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil that is controlling the Dalian
City Labor Camp.

On August 27, over 20 practitioners illegally detained in the
Baitugangzi Labor Camp of Ningxia AR (Autonomous Region) launched a
hunger strike to demand their unconditional release. Today is the seventh day of
the hunger strike. The guards of the labor camp separate practitioners and block
the news. They do not allow any visits from practitioners' families. We hope all

practitioners being illegally detained walk out of the labor camp.

[Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioners Shock the Evil in
a Scientific Technology Hall
On August 29, two practitioners found that an exhibition
slandering Dafa would be held in the Wuhan City Scientific Technology Hall. They
overcame many difficulties and managed to distribute Dafa truth-clarifying
literature in the exhibition hall. They also spray-painted red Chinese
characters "Falun Dafa is Good" on the wall. Their actions effectively
suppressed the evil. Practitioners also made an appointment to send forth
righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil at fixed times every morning and at
every night.

According to an internal sources, Zibo City's Wangcun Labor
Camp authorities attempted to send 3 determined practitioners to the Northwest
desert for further persecution.

One day, a male labor camp was broadcasting articles defaming
Dafa. A practitioner courageously and resolutely stood up and unplugged the
recorder. Afterwards, the wicked policeman dejectedly took the recorder away. On
another day, the labor camp was again broadcasting articles defaming Master Li.
Another practitioner stood up and indignantly demanded the policeman to
immediately turn off the recorder, otherwise he would touch the power source
[which could cause severe electric shock]. The uncaring policeman paid no attention to
his words. Immediately, without any hesitation, this practitioner reached out
his hand for the power source. At the moment his hand touched it, the
power of the whole labor camp was cut off, but this practitioner was not hurt at
all. These two practitioners' courage effectively intimidated the evil of the
labor camp and greatly encouraged fellow practitioners.

Practitioners through the Streets
Recently, when several practitioners distributed
truth-clarifying literature, the policemen waited at several spots and arrested
them. The police of Tanggu District were notorious for their severe persecution
of practitioners. According to the crowd, around August 20, 2001, Tanggu
District police paraded associate professor Sun from the Tanggu Vocational
College, her two daughters and two other male practitioners from Shangdong
Province (all about 20-30 years old) through the streets with boards hanging around their necks written
with slanderous and defamatory words against Dafa.

Jianping from No.5 Workshop of Chengdu No. 420 Factory is Illegally Detained for
Safeguarding the Fa in Beijing
According to the news disclosed from the Chengdu No. 420
Factory middle level officials exigency meeting, practitioner Chen Jianping from
the No.5 Workshop of the factory went to Beijing to safeguard the Fa. He is now
being illegally detained at the Ningxia Street No.1 Detention Center in Chengdu
City.
A practitioner by the last name of Zhang from the No.7
Workshop of this factory is also illegally detained for going to Beijing to
safeguard the Fa.

When talking about Falun Gong, a relative of a practitioner
who came from another city said, "I don't believe what the TV says, it is
deceiving people." He said, "If Falun Gong were not good, how could so
many people learn it, so it must be good. Whenever the TV was broadcasting that
kind of news, I would switch to other channels. I don't feel like watching it.
Besides, the schools of our city are conducting the so-called signature
collection. I told my son not to sign his name. That is not good. It only does
harm to the students."
