At 1:30 p.m. on January 12, practitioners held a press conference in front of the Chinese Consulate in Houston. Practitioners read a press statement in Chinese and English calling upon the Chinese government to stop killing Falun Gong practitioners. They appealed to the people of the world to be concerned about the brutal persecution by Jiang's regime against Falun Gong practitioners, to support Falun Gong and to rescue Falun Gong practitioners being tortured to death in China.
At 7 p.m. a candlelight vigil was once again held. Practitioners were not there just to mourn the practitioners killed in the persecution: they also sent forth their most pure and powerful righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil.
