By Strengthening One's Righteous Thoughts, One Will Certainly Get Through Any Tribulation

(Clearwisdom.net) Both my husband and I obtained Falun Dafa in 1994. During the two years that Dafa has been persecuted, we both have been detained at custodial centers or detention centers several times.

My husband went to Beijing last year to validate Dafa. As a result, he was sentenced to 3 years in a forced-labor camp. During the more than one year since he was sent to the forced-labor camp, on several occasions, my daughter and I have requested the release of my husband with a verdict of "not guilty". We also clarified the truth to the corresponding departments and validated Dafa. In November 2001, my husband started feeling unwell. He also realized that he should completely deny the old force's arrangement and that he should not endure it passively. Thus, he started a hunger strike. On the fifth day, the local 610 office [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] asked me to go to the labor camp and sign some paperwork to pick up my husband. They told me that I only had this chance for that one day.

I was very happy at first, but soon I calmed down. I remembered that last February when my husband was released for the second time from the custodial center where he had been detained for nearly 5 months, I was commanded to go and sign the paper work and to pay bail. Although at the time I did not clearly realize that I should not cooperate with any of the evil's demands, orders or what it instigates, in consideration of the interests of fellow practitioners and others, that I should not pay the bail. If I had bailed my husband out, what would fellow practitioners who have no money do? I determinedly told the department of the public security and my boss that I would not sign the paperwork, nor would I pay the bail, but my husband must be released. Under the formidable righteous thoughts, they had no choice and released my husband.

Now Teacher has already clearly taught us the Fa, "No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil's demands, orders, or what it instigates." ("Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful"). Thus, facing two levels of "610" offices, forced-labor camp, relatives and friends, as well as a houseful of people, I said: "Going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong is our right endowed by the Constitution. Being illegally sentenced to forced-labor camp and being tortured to such an extent, I can't go to pick him up. You have to bring him back and I have to check his physical condition. In this way, from 4:00 pm till 6:00pm, neither side was willing to budge. In the end, someone from the "610" office of my workplace came to tell me: "The labor camp will bring him back home. You just have to open the door." Around 7:00pm, the labor camp brought my husband home.
