A national magazine in France named "l'Essentiel" published an article entitled "Falun Gong: SOS Urgent Rescue" on the No. 16 issue in Jan-Feb 2002. The article introduced Falun Gong and exposed the brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners by the Jiang-Luo Regime. The article also calls for help and support of Falun Gong and the practitioners being persecuted.

Today, 102 people solemnly declared that everything they have said, written, and done that did not conform to Dafa are the result of the brutal persecution from the evil forces, and they are completely null and void. From now on, they will redouble their effort and make up for the loss they have caused to Dafa, keep up with the progress of Fa-rectification, and clarify the truth and eliminate the evil. They are determined to melt into Dafa and become true practitioners.

81 examples of Dafa practitioners in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province being illegally detained, extorted, sent to forced labor camp, sentenced to jail and brutally tortured (continued).

A letter to my aunt: "In order to let people distinguish between good and evil, and have a bright future, thousands of Falun Gong practitioners risked arrest, jail and even their lives to peacefully clarify the truth. They used the money saved for buying food and clothes to print and distribute truth-clarifying materials, and they walked to Tiananmen Square to shout out their heartfelt words. Please keep righteous thoughts when faced with such major issues of principle."

After monitoring me closely for 18 days, the police suddenly took me away and illegally ransacked my home. I was sentenced to one year of forced labor and sent to Jiutai and Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Jilin Province, both of which refused to admit me because of my "serious illness." In the end, they released me, and I dove back into the current of exposing the evil, promoting the Fa and clarifying the truth.

Seven Dafa practitioners from Henan Province did not have money to buy train tickets, so they drove a motorized tricycle to Beijing to appeal. After an arduous trip, they arrived in Beijing. They took Qianmen Street and Qiananmen Street, and stopped at the Wenxuan Building. While practicing the exercises at Tiananmen Square, they were arrested by the police. A policewoman kept praising them after she heard that they drove to Tiananmen on a tricycle. Later, they were detained at a forced labor camp and then at a detention center. All of them have been released on different dates, and they are continuing their effort in clarifying the truth.

A female practitioner has three sisters, and the four families each have one child. One day, the four children gathered together and said, "My school distributed some newspapers, and some of them contain materials slandering Dafa, so we tore up the papers immediately." "I know what my teacher said about the self-immolation is fake." "36 western practitioners went to Tiananmen Square to unfurl banners that read 'Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance,' that's great!" From their words, I heard the progress of the Fa rectification of the human world.

The experiences of a long-standing Party member: as my understanding of Dafa matures, I meet with less and less interference. In the current complex environment, my mind cannot be moved however the people around me change and whatever "advice" they give me. I have only one thought: firmly believe in Teacher and Dafa, and follow a righteous path in my cultivation.

On September 20, 2001, I went to Tiananmen Square to unfurl a banner and shouted from the bottom of my heart, "Falun Dafa is Good! Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa!" Later the same day I went back to Tiananmen to send forth righteous thoughts, but some plain-clothes policemen recognized me. While being dragged to the police van, I shouted, "Falun Dafa is Good." There were many tourists around, and some said, "Falun Dafa really is good." The same night, I walked out of the detention center, aided by my righteous thoughts.

On the night of January 18, practitioners in Holland held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese embassy in Holland. Reporters and photographers from Holland National Information Center and Holland Chinese Radio Station interviewed the practitioners.

On January 18, Canadian citizen Li Jinyu held a press conference in Montreal, requesting the Chinese government to release her husband, Lin Shenli. Mr. Lin has been jailed in a labor camp for two years because he appealed for Falun Gong. The director of Amnesty International Montreal attended the press conference and Mr. Cotler, an International Human Rights lawyer who was then in Ottawa, asked an associate to read his statement supporting Ms. Li at the conference.
