By a Falun Dafa Practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) As of today, a sixteen-year-old girl has been illegally detained for more than six months by the Qidong County Police Department in Hunan Province.

Liu Haiying lives in Baidishi Town of Qidong County. All of her five family members are Falun Gong practitioners.

Four years ago, when her little brother was nine years old, he was diagnosed with leukemia. After he started practicing Falun Gong, he was completely cured, though he had been "sentenced to death" by doctors. All her family members then became Falun Gong practitioners.

In order to safeguard Falun Dafa, her parents went to Beijing to appeal. She and her parents also clarified the truth by providing literature to many people. Because of this, her parents were arrested and put in jail three times, enduring many different methods of torture.

In mid-March 2001, policeman He Zhengrong and others took her parents to Guoshuiping Police Substation and severely beat her father and cracked a bone in his leg. They also pierced all ten fingers with needles. Although her parents lost consciousness during the severe torture, they still refused to reveal the source of the truth-clarifying literature. The vicious police handcuffed her father's hands behind his back for three consecutive days, and forced him to go without food or water. After such severe torture, he was extremely weak and could barely breathe. Later he was carried to a van and sent back to Qidong Detention Center where he went on a hunger strike for thirty days. After a while, because he insisted on practicing Falun Gong and studying the Fa, he experienced a miraculous recovery of the severe injuries that had caused great pain to his wounded body. His complete recovery occurred without any medical attention, in spite of the dreadfully bad environment.

On June 20, 2001, Haiyang's parents were released and returned home. The entire family used every opportunity to clarify the truth to people and deliver flyers to the neighborhood.

On July 21, 2001, Liu Haiying was arrested while handing out literature. Her parents were also arrested, and again endured brutal beatings and torture. After they were detained, a policeman posted a notice stating that everybody could have visitors except for Falun Gong practitioners. Currently, sixteen-year-old Liu Haiying is still in jail. Liu planned on continuing her education, but cannot because she is still being unjustly detained. Her little brother and other family members miss her very much, but are not allowed to visit her.
