Gain from Misfortune

(Clearwisdom.net) One day, I took a taxi with my mother. After we got in, the first words the driver said to us were, "I really gain from misfortune. If I had not encountered you, then I would have prepared to go home." He had seen a passenger trying to flag a taxi, but that passenger was picked up by another driver behind him. He met up with us just as he was worrying about losing the fare.

I began to talk with the driver. I asked him, "What do you think about Falun Gong?" He answered without hesitation, "I don't believe it." I then very carefully and patiently introduced Dafa and explained the true facts, letting him know the wickedness of Jiang and his followers and that Falun Dafa is a righteous Fa [law and principle]. I showed him how good Falun Dafa is by relating our personal experiences in Dafa cultivation. I told him how Dafa teaches us to be good people in any environment and gave him some typical examples. I also clarified the truth about the "self-immolation" incident aired by CCTV. As I was getting out of the car, I told him, "Don't say Dafa isn't good any more." He replied to me sincerely, "Trust me. If I do it again, I will slap my own mouth." My mother and I smiled at each other and knew that that was the real "gain from misfortune."
