On September 26, 2001, the police illegally took her away from home. While in police custody, Ms. Chen experienced all kinds of cruel tortures. The authorities also sent her to a mental hospital where she suffered inhuman abuse. Ms. Chen Biyu passed away at the end of October 2001.
