It was slightly raining at around 7:30 p.m. on December 19^th of 2001. My wife and I (she is also a Dafa practitioner) were on the way back home. When we walked to a T section, the sidewalk was covered by sand and stones for road construction. So we had to walk alongside the road. Just at that time, a jeep suddenly drove by very fast, I heard a loud "bang," and then I lost consciousness.

Later, I was told by the people who saw the accident that we were hit from behind by the jeep, and were thrown 4~5 meters away and our heads hit the ground. The jeep couldn't even stop until it went to about 2~3 meters ahead of us.

People around us thought that we were dead for sure. The jeep's driver called the traffic police and an ambulance. After about 2~3 minutes, I was awake with the thought, "I am a Dafa practitioner, nothing would happen to me." Then I slowly got up, seeing myself with only one shoe on my foot. Another shoe was thrown over 10 meters away.

The jeep's driver asked me how I felt. I said, "I am a practitioner, no problem!" A few minutes later, traffic police officers and an ambulance arrived. Just at that time, my wife woke up, too. She was lying around 10 meters away from the jeep. Because she was hit so severely, she felt dizzy and found it hard to breathe. The traffic police asked her some questions, then she regained her clear mind and started to say "I am a Dafa practitioner." Thus, she got up to her feet slowly. At that time, a lot of people gathered around us to see what was going on. Some local practitioners also came over after I called them.

Since the ground was wet from the rain, my wife and I were wet all over. I vomited twice and felt a bit better. The driver kept on apologizing to us and asking us to go to a hospital to have a check up at his expense. However, my wife and I kept on telling him that we are cultivating Falun Dafa and our Master is protecting us and nothing would happen to us.

Our local practitioners also told the driver: You are lucky today, as Dafa practitioners have our Master to protect our lives. We have a high moral standard, so we wouldn't ask you for any money. If they were normal people, you would have run into a bit of trouble--with two lives involved, how much do you think you would have to pay?

I saw that my wife was able to walk, so I let our local practitioners help us walk back home. The traffic police and about a few hundred people around us saw the miracle. Some of them showed their admiration when they saw that we didn't ask for money, and we didn't even ask the driver's name. Some people felt curious and others thought that we were silly.

The driver was worried, so he followed us home and stayed with us until very late at night. My wife and I had a shower and laid down to have a rest. I vomited 4~5 times again that night.

The next day, we felt a bit better and had a chat with our fellow practitioners. The driver came to visit us again and he felt very much relieved when he saw that we were able to sit. On the 3^rd day, we almost regained our mobility apart from some pain in our bodies.

The driver witnessed the miracle: My wife and I are both over the age of fifty. He knew that we were hit by his jeep very severely. Yet we regained our mobility within 3 days. He was very much touched, and kept on asking us to tell him the "secret tricks" and he wanted to see our Master, too.

As I knew that our fellow practitioners had already introduced Falun Dafa to him, I told him: "Our Master is Teacher Li Hongzhi, and our 'secret trick' is that we are cultivating the cosmic supreme characteristic--Truthfulness, Benevolence and Forbearance! And this is the sole criterion for good and bad. Everything contains Truthfulness, Benevolence and Forbearance. As long as you cultivate Falun Dafa, you will experience the miracle! You must remember: Falun Dafa is Good!"

I told him to retell the miracle to his relatives and friends and have them come to realize what kind of practice Falun Dafa is, and what kind of people Falun Gong practitioners are. Thus, I told him, you and your relatives will also benefit a lot. The driver kept on nodding his head. But he said: "I have told my relatives these days, but they didn't believe me. The traffic police didn't think that my jeep hit you that hard. Even I myself felt that it was like a dream. If I didn't see it myself, I wouldn't believe it was true, either!" I smiled and encouraged him: If you keep on telling them more, they will believe you.

Originally, I wasn't going to inform the traffic department, but in order to clarify the truth, I went to the traffic department with the jeep driver and we reported the accident to the traffic police and a full room full of people. I introduced to them what Falun Gong is and told them my cultivation experience. They all felt that it was miraculous. When I denounced the Central TV Station's lies which were slandering Falun Gong, all the people in the room (including the police) were just smiling at me, although they dared not speak out their approval under the current situation.

Many of our fellow practitioners told their relatives, colleagues and neighbors about my experience and at the same time clarified the truth of Falun Dafa. People were touched deeply. There was a person, who refused to hear anything about Falun Gong before, even asked some questions initially, and he believed that Falun Gong was wonderful and he said he would learn it in the future. Other people said: There must be an opponent to match a fight--everyone knows that Falun Gong practitioners won't fight back, so the persecution against Falun Gong won't last long.

We practitioners realized that this accident was not accidental. The book Zhuan Falun mentioned about the issue of demons coming to claim a practitioner's life. However, this accident happened in the current situation, so we think that it's not as simple of just the issue of demons claiming a life; it also showed that the demons were trying to disturb practitioners to rectify the Fa.

This time, under the Master's protection, Dafa practitioners went through the trial smoothly. At the same time, we spread the truth to the people of the world and made a great impact in our local area. It also made those practitioners who were not cultivating so diligently discover their weakness and catch up with us.

Through this incident, we spread the truth of Falun Gong and peeled off some of the "shell" which hindered those worldly people accepting Falun Dafa, and laid a foundation for them to obtain the Fa in the future.

We Dafa practitioners broke through the old force's arrangement and set up Fa-rectification practitioners' mighty virtue. A bad incident turned out to be a good thing. We will cherish this precious opportunity given by Master Li, and try to do better in clarifying the truth to the people of the world even more.
