Voice of America (VOA) reported on January 3 that Canadian police are investigating the incident of overseas Chinese student Wang Xueliang, the Falun Gong practitioner that was beaten in the Chinese embassy several days ago, but the Chinese embassy refuses to cooperate. Mr. Doion, spokesperson for Canada's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, indicated that the Chinese embassy has the responsibility to cooperate with the police investigation and the Canadian government has the right to expel any diplomat who is suspected of violating Canadian law.

Today 102 people declared solemnly that the things they said and did that do not conform with Dafa, bringing damage to Dafa under the strong coercion of evil Chinese authorities, are null and void, completely negating the arrangements and persecution of the vicious people. From now on, they will closely follow the course of Teacher's Fa-rectification, make great efforts in clarifying the truth, redouble their efforts to make up for the loss they brought to Dafa and become real Dafa students who live up to the requirements of Dafa.

Fangqiang Forced Labor Camp in Jiangsu Province illegally detained male Falun Gong practitioners in Jiangsu Province and tortured them cruelly. Beating, kicking, shocking with electric batons and 16-hour shifts of heavy labor are common occurrences. A cruel policeman put an electric baton into Tang Jianxin's mouth, torturing him brutally. Practitioner Wang Bumei's head was pressed into a toilet. Chen Guoliang and Wang Changhua were detained in a mental hospital.

Here are some examples of the illegal detention, torture and extortion of Falun Dafa practitioners in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. A 10-year-old girl, Miao Xin, is a student in Yongjun No.2 elementary school of the Third Oil Extraction Factory in Daqing City. On November 28, 2000, she went to Beijing to validate Falun Dafa. She sternly refused to write the so-called "Three Statements" that principal Zhao tried to force her to make, so the school illegally expelled her.

Six of practitioner Li Mei's family members cultivate Dafa. This kind and happy family lived in harmony, but was brutally torn apart by Jiang Zemin's criminal group. Li Mei was tortured to death, and her body was immediately cremated at the instruction of the Deputy Governor and the Chief of the Public Security Department of An'hui Province. Several months later, her elder sister Li Jun was also arrested and tortured to death. Her mother and brother-in-law (Li Jun's husband) are still being illegally detained in jail.

Practitioners in Anda City, Heilongjiang Province and Zhejiang Province congratulate the founding of "Changchun Falun Dafa Day."

1. One day, I met a friend who I haven't seen for a long time. During my truth clarification to her, she suddenly said in surprise, "Your Falun Gong is really amazing (because) I can move my hand now!" Later, I learned that her hand used to suffer from tendonitis and for a long time she hadn't been able to bend or stretch it.

2. A former classmate of mine who works at the City People's Congress said, "We know everything about Falun Gong. However, we don't dare to speak out because we fear the pressure. But we know everything in our hearts!"

3. A former classmate who works for the government said, "Usually when I talk to my colleagues about Falun Gong, we all think that you guys are really great. Your Teacher had so many students in such a short period of time [100 million within seven years from 1992-1999], that's truly amazing!"

4. One of my relative's cousins is a lawyer. He answered my question without any hesitation, "They (Jiang Zemin's government) are violating the law. In dealing with Falun Gong, they went against many rules established by the Constitution."

I was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to a street vendor when I was buying apples. While I was talking, a young man selling pears in the next stall jumped in, "Jiang Zemin is so brutal to Falun Gong. I don't really believe in what he said in spite of the propaganda on TV and in the newspaper. Where I am from, people don't badmouth Falun Gong. The Falun Dafa practitioners were just trying to be good and healthy. What does that have to do with Jiang Zemin?"

My father and I went home to the rural area to attend my cousin's wedding. The bus went very slowly and every time it stopped we hung up half a dozen banners (140 x 24 centimeters) five to six meters above the ground. We managed to put up dozens of them over the course of the trip.

My mother-in-law is a tenured university professor. In 1999 she taught herself the Falun Gong exercises, but she stopped after being influenced by the slanderous propaganda. One year ago, she went to visit her granddaughter overseas and resumed her practice. As she started the cultivation practice, the rheumatoid arthritis that she had seen many doctors for was cured.

I ran into my student, to whom I had just given a Mandarin lesson, at the subway station. He said to me with certainty, "They will not win..."

The week-long Falun Dafa promotional activities at the shopping mall in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, attracted many shoppers. Practitioners visited many NGO's [non-government organizations] and handed them truth-clarifying materials. They were also interviewed by the local television station and invited to speak at the University of Tasmania about Falun Dafa and how the practitioners face the persecution in China with compassion and forbearance.

December 28, 2001 -- January 1, 2002, over 200 Falun Gong practitioners from Germany, Poland, Austria and Switzerland gathered together for a group Fa study at Erbach, a city in central Germany. Practitioners had discussions, shared experiences on a variety of topics and held various workshops. The small-scale experience sharing conference on December 30 was the highlight of the entire event.

Taking advantage of the Japanese custom of deity-worshiping on New Year's Day, Falun Gong practitioners in Japan distributed Falun Gong newspapers in Japanese in front of Buddhist temples. Some kind-hearted Japanese offered to help and some others extended a word of support: "Jiang Zemin is crazy. I hope Falun Gong practitioners will not be intimidated."

I worked diligently for over 30 years, but acquired many illnesses. Each month my medical expenses were at least 400 to 500 Yuan. I read Zhuan Falun in April 1996. The more I read, the more I wanted to read. It opened my heart. Since then my health has improved a lot. I used to suffer from bone spurs, but now all the symptoms have gone. The large ganglion on my wrist has also disappeared.

Having helped a Falun Gong practitioner, Xiao Yan, Yan's parents reported Ning Ning's father to the police. However, he did not cooperate with the arrangements of the evil force and easily and miraculously escaped several times. The evil vanished in the presence of his unshakable righteous thoughts.
