(Clearwisdom.net) According to a September 28th report of an overseas Chinese newspaper, the No. 1 Chinese website Sina Net displayed the main page of Falun Dafa's Minghui Net yesterday. What happened? Internet users who are concerned about Minghui Net and Sina Net are wondering.

According to the report, the journalist for this newspaper failed to enter the main web page of Sina Net , www.sina.com.cn; however, when he tried another Sina page, www.dailynews.sina.com.cn, the Falun Gong web page appeared. The journalist also found that the front page on Sina Net alternated between Minghui Net and Wenxuecheng [a literature website]. The Sing Tao Daily reported a similar phenomenon with a major newspaper web page in Shenzhen City. People could not enter that newspaper web page in Shenzhen City through Chinese Yahoo!, Google, or the search engine of the People's Daily. The main page that shows up is Minghui Net, then it soon changes into the Wenxuecheng web page, and the front page constantly changes.

Regarding this incident, we received some readers' feedback on September 28. Below are three of the more common responses:

Most likely a framing attempt

After reading a Chinese newspaper associated with the Chinese Consulate, I tried the other website of Sina Net, www.dailynews.sina.com.cn, and a Falun Gong web page indeed appeared.

This morning, I saw that the IP that pointed to www.falundafa.ca kept showing up and disappearing, and it seemed to be very unstable, so I realized that the DNS server for www.sina.com.cn had been altered.

I thought that it was suspicious, because www.sina.com.cn and www.dailynews.sina.com.cn should be controlled by the same DNS server, so the same program should be used to alter the IP for both of these websites. However, the much more prominent www.sina.com.cn was not changed but the domain for the smaller www.dailynews.sina.com.cn was altered, so I think there is a high likelihood that this is a framing attempt.

At the same time, the IPs for Minghui Net http://minghui.org or the Falun Dafa web page http://falundafa.org are blocked by the Chinese regime, so even if the domain were changed into Minghui Net and Falundafa.ca or Falundafa.org, people in China would still not be able to view them. Therefore, this change can only temporally affect people overseas, so I think this is the Party's attempt to frame Falun Gong and still maintain their prerequisite of preventing people in China from viewing Falun Dafa related information.

Clumsy attempt by the Chinese regime

The websites in China haven't recovered since this happened yesterday, is it because October 1 [the China National Day] is approaching, the Party Internet spies tried to attack Minghui Net but made technical mistakes?

Comments from Falun Gong practitioners in the U.S: not sure what happened, but Jiang has harmed too many people...

Yesterday evening, I heard that Sina Net was covered by Minghui Net and the Wenxuecheng web page. I thought that this was interesting. Why? Hackers in China have been viciously attacking Minghui Net, especially during holidays for more than three years now. The Internet blockade is quite severe. In Mainland China, a person can be given a heavy jail sentence if they merely read or download articles from Minghui Net, and now someone is covering a website in Mainland China [with the main page of Minghui Net]! Although I don't know who did this, it's indeed very interesting.

Maybe someone was defending justice or this was for some other purpose. The Chinese dictator has abused his power and harmed too many people. Not everyone believes in a completely peaceful response like Falun Gong practitioners.

As for how this person did it, we don't know. Minghui Net is open to the whole world, and anyone can read it. For computer experts, it shouldn't be too hard to copy the Minghui main page.

We regret that some Internet users experienced temporary inconveniences because of this incident.
