Face-Off Between Good and Evil in front of the Chinese Embassy in Denmark (Photos)

--- Fa-rectification activities during the Asia-Europe Summit Meeting

(Clearwisdom.net) From the 23^rd to 24^th September 2002, more than 2000 representatives from fifteen countries of the EU and ten countries from Asia converged in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, for the Asia-Europe Summit Meeting, which is held once every two years. This conference also attracted the attention of many news media. Dafa disciples from European countries made use of this valuable opportunity to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to the Chinese delegation, media and politicians from other countries. A face-off between good against evil ensued in Denmark.

In front of Chinese embassy

In June this year, the Chinese embassy in Denmark exerted a great deal of pressure on the local police. They viciously mixed up the petition activities of Falun Gong, which are extremely peaceful appeal activities that were carried out in front of the Chinese embassy for three years, with some activities organised by other associations in the same place. They lodged slanderous complaints against Falun Gong activities, made unreasonable requests to the local police, and even coerced the local police station by appeals to higher authorities. Many police officers have understood the truth about Falun Gong through contact with Dafa disciples during the past three years, so the unreasonable requests and the absurd complaints in the letter from the Chinese embassy were rejected. However, under the Chinese embassy's schemes, the local police finally yielded to pressure from its higher authorities. At the end of June, our application for the petition location opposite the main entrance of the Chinese embassy was suddenly cancelled without any explanation, and the petition location was moved to a street corner more than 20 meters further away.

From three years ago when this persecution started until now, the location opposite the main entrance to the Chinese embassy has been the place that Danish Dafa disciples petition and practice Falun Gong exercises. The banner in front of the embassy with yellow background and red words "Falun Dafa is good" shake the Chinese delegation members' hearts every day, and it makes the evil feel as if lying on a bed of thorns.

Where there are problems, that is where we need to clarify the truth. It is not only just for the sake of the Falun Gong practitioners' legitimate rights. When one nation is being led into a dangerous situation by an evil force, how can we just sit by and watch?

So for several months, we clarified the truth through talking to people face-to-face, sending truth-clarifying letters and so on. The material was sent to different people, from the local police to the police chief's office, from Congressmen to the parliamentary law committee. The truth-clarifying compact discs were sent to various judicial departments and the police, as well as all levels of local government. In addition to exposing the persecution that is occurring in Mainland China, we also emphatically exposed how the Jiang regime is exporting the persecution to Western countries through its embassies and consulates. For example, a practitioner has been sending forth righteous thoughts in front of the Chinese embassy daily. Because of the Chinese embassy in the Denmark, his private property in China was confiscated. His family members in China are now being harassed by the Chinese police. Dafa disciples' letters regarding this persecution case were published on the Danish parliament's web site, and also sent to the judicial minister and foreign minister of Denmark. Some members of parliament who have a good understanding about Dafa directly intervened in this case to relevant government departments. The Danish parliament law committee held a meeting for this special case and invited us to explain the facts. Finally, television stations, radio stations and newspapers reported on this matter, which caused a strong reaction from the Danish people, who love freedom and respect human rights. Under the Danish people's condemnation, the local police station has moved our petition location back to a place near the main entrance of the Chinese embassy, but not the same location as before.

During the period of constantly clarifying the truth, we applied for a permit for the European Dafa disciples to petition in front of the Chinese embassy during the Asia-Europe Summit Meeting. However, after several efforts, the police still overruled our application for holding a petition and demonstration opposite the main entrance to the Chinese embassy. In the permit issued by the local police station, the petition location was moved dozens of meters away.

After clarifying the truth for several months and to obtain this permit, we all clearly realised that the evil force seems formidable on the surface, still manipulates people to insist stubbornly on the wrong decision. In fact, the evil force is already extremely weak. We realized that we must not recognise the persecution or acknowledge any old force's arrangements, and use our indestructible righteous thoughts to eliminate all evil factors.

On Saturday, 21^st September, several hundred Dafa disciples from Europe, Asia, and North America came to Copenhagen. On the evening of arrival, they converged in front of the Chinese embassy and held a candlelight vigil. For the Asia-Europe Summit Meeting, the local authorities arranged a formidable police force. In front of the Chinese embassy, fully armed police and police vehicles were packed together, and the atmosphere was rather tense.

At the beginning, Dafa disciples arrived at the location opposite the main entrance of the Chinese embassy, sat down in rows and sent forth righteous thoughts. Meanwhile, several Dafa disciples had a friendly conversation with police officers. The police explicitly indicated that we could hold our petition at any place in front of the Chinese embassy. When we asked why it was necessary to deploy so many police officers here since Falun Gong is completely peaceful, one policeman said: "Because we heard you may have the possibility of encountering some troubles, for example, being attacking by others, and so on, we are here to protect you." There were also some police officers who showed interest in learning the Falun Gong exercises.

The police on duty changed from one group to another, and the friendly conversations gave them a better understanding about Dafa and Dafa disciples. When we wrapped up activities for the day, we applauded the hard-working police on duty to show our appreciation, and the kind-hearted Danish police nodded in acknowledgement. In this way the evil's arrangement was eradicated peacefully and naturally.
