"We Need More Falun Gong in Our Village"
(Clearwisdom.net)
The greatest headache for township administrators is to collect farming tax.
Normally they are not able to collect money when it is due. Of course, this is
partly because the government overtaxes farmers, and farmers are bearing great
hardships. Most of the time, when township administrators go out to collect
taxes, people who owe 200 Yuan would only pay 30-50 Yuan. And farmers would tell
them that they had nowhere to borrow the money. Some lock their doors upon
seeing the tax collector approaching, and refuse to see them.
But Falun Gong practitioners behave differently. Some send their full tax
payments to the government offices and some borrow the money to make full
payments when administrators come to their doors, so that the administrators
would not need to come again. Some even lent their money to their neighbors who
have difficulty paying. Once the village head came to a fellow practitioner's,
Mr. Tang's, home to collect the farming tax. Mr. Tang gave all the money he had,
but he was still 1.2 Yuan short. The village head said to him, "I saw you
tried your best, you can forget this 1.2 Yuan now." But the next day, Mr.
Tang borrowed 1.2 Yuan, and delivered it to the township government in person.
The tax collector was very moved. He said, "Falun Gong practitioners have
established a good example of paying taxes. I say Falun Dafa is good!"
The secretary of third village told a township officer, "If only there
were more Falun Gong practitioners in our village, not only would it be easier
to collect farming taxes, but other things would be much easier too."
We have found that walking our path righteously is the best way to defend
Dafa.
