Falun Dafa Practitioner Song Xiangzhen Killed by Hospital Administrator at Ankang Hospital in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province

(Clearwisdom.net) In September 2002, Falun Gong practitioner Song Xiangzhen (female, about 46 years-old) died while being force-fed in Ankang Hospital, Shenyang City. Ankang Hospital is actually a drug rehabilitation center where Falun Gong practitioners are illegally detained. Song was on a hunger strike before she was force-fed to death. Hospital administrator Zhang Jianlin and chief physician Xie Xiaobin were directly responsible for the incident. In fact, Zhang's criminal conduct has previously been reported on the Clearwisdom web site.

In April 2002, the police from Taochang Police Station, Shenyang City once again illegally arrested a female practitioner in order to prevent her from going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. While being detained at the Shenyang City Detention Center, this female practitioner went on a hunger strike to protest her illegal arrest. She was then taken to Ankang hospital, which is operated by the police bureau in Shenyang, for force-feeding. A group of guards, headed by Zhang Jianlin and Xie Xiaobin, undertook brutal and inhumane force-feedings on this practitioner. They inserted a rigid plastic tube, which was larger than the normal size of the nostril, through her nose into her stomach. This caused bleeding in her nose and stomach. Instead of stopping, Zhang suggested they continue force-feeding while the practitioner was sitting up. Refusing to cooperate, this practitioner bit off the plastic tube used for force-feeding. Zhang then viciously beat her, with drug addict patients assisting him, until her face was seriously injured. The guards then handcuffed her feet together, injuring her further. Later on, this practitioner started to lose consciousness. Afraid of being charged with her death, the guards at the hospital and the police in charge of the case released her.

All Falun Gong practitioners detained at Ankang hospital are being tortured to different degrees. At the detention center, it is common for guards and inmates to frequently torture and beat Falun Gong practitioners who are on hunger strike.
