"Rescue Our Family Members and Get Them Home" Car Parade West Route reached El Paso, Texas on Sunday, October 20, 2002. The practitioners held a press conference in front of the El Paso City Hall.

Two vans carrying 6 practitioners started off the rescue effort from Seattle. In four days we passed through California and arrived in Texas in 4 days. The press conference in El Paso was our fifth press conference along our west route. The local police were not aware of our activities, and this was an opportunity to clarify the truth of the persecution to the police. One passerby immediately learned the Falun Dafa exercises. The local NBC TV station (Channel 9) covered our event.
