Clarifying the Truth at a Three-day "Chinese Cambridge" Celebration (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 17-19, 2002, Falun Dafa practitioners from all over the UK gathered in Cambridge, the famous scientific and cultural city to display the magnificence of Falun Dafa. A poster of "Falun Dafa is good"posted in the downtown library introducing the activity left a pleasant impression on both Western and Chinese guests.

On October 17-18, practitioners demonstrated Falun Gong exercises and collected signatures at King's College and "Boots" supermarket where there were a lot of passersby and visitors.

A series of display boards entitled, "Falun Dafa in the UK" and "Journey of Falun Dafa" photo exhibition attracted many passersby to stop and watch. Dafa practitioners' parade and performances added vigor and vitality to Cambridge. People stretched out their hands for Dafa flyers and then earnestly read them. About ten thousand English flyers were distributed in several hours. Many Chinese people who used to detour whenever meeting us were amazed by the scene, and together with the UK audience, they quietly looked at our display boards and photo exhibition and carefully read Dafa truth-clarifying information and materials. Many Chinese took pictures and some wanted to know more about the truth of Falun Dafa.

Clear Sky Created by Righteous Thoughts

Since October, it rained on end in Cambridge, and the weather was gloomy for an entire day on October 16, but it suddenly turned to be sunny and agreeable on October 17 when Dafa activit es began. On October 19, while the practitioners presenting performances, the sunshine was brilliant and the sky was clear and blue. Dafa practitioners understood that our studying the Fa and sending forth righteous thoughts at the top of each hour created this agreeable weather.

A Wise Vagrant

An unkempt vagrant passed our truth-clarifying display table multiple times, and he always pointed at the photos depicting tortures practitioners suffered and shook his head and denouced Jiang's brutality, "It is too evil." When he left, he pointed at our display table and said to pedestrians sitting on the roadside one by one, "That's good, quick to learn it."

"You Are Courageous"

An English gentlemen passing by saw us preparing banners for parade and wanted to know what we were doing. Upon hearing "Falun Gong," he immediately said, "You are courageous." More and more UK people have had a clearly positive understanding of Falun Gong.

Mighty Power of Righteous Thoughts

During the three-day activity, whenever Dafa practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts, the practitioners noticed that more people would accept Dafa truth-clarifying materials. The same was true with local Chinese. One Chinese student had refused our materials several times while passing by us. But when we sent forth righteous thought for the last time before the activity was over, he suddenly sat at the chair opposite the truth-clarifying table and accepted the materials and then carefully read them. Finally he also accepted Dafa truth-clarifying VCD and agreed to cherish the materials and to pass them to other Chinese. He then waved goodbye to us.

The Audience In Tears

While parading and giving performances, we often met an older English couple. The husband said his wife could not help shedding tears when we sent forth righteous thoughts previously, and she was so moved that her tears kept running down her face when she saw us singing songs composed by Dafa practitioners in front of the King's College. Once, while Dafa practitioners were performing a Fan Dance to the music of "Falun Dafa is good," the music suddenly stopped. The practitioners immediately sang without the music and carried on with the dance performance. Many in the audience burst into tears.

"I saw you."

Just before we were about to leave, a teenage boy walked up to us with his skateboard. He accepted our flyer and said in Chinese, "Thank you." He said he had seen us in the street and that he would come to our practice site to learn to practice the exercises that Saturday.

The Most Beautiful Day in Cambridge

On the afternoon of October 19, while the practitioners singing songs written by Dafa practitioners in front of the King's College, a scene was very touching. At dusk, it was getting colder. Dafa practitioners' costumes were very thin, but disregarding the cold, they kept singing, "Falun Dafa is good," "The Most Precious Chinese" and other songs. They sang so affectionally and wholeheartedly that some Chinese passing by even hummed along.

In the enormous and compassionate field of Dafa practitioners who have assimilated to Dafa, a new practitioner had a happy and sweet feeling that she had had never experienced before. She told everyone that she saw the most beautiful day in Cambridge, and many angels sang and danced in the sky while Dafa practitioners were giving their performances.
