Lawless Officials Kidnap, Torture and Sexually Molest Dafa Practitioners in the Baoding Region of Hebei Province

On August 23 and August 27, 2002, a handful of Dafa practitioners tapped into a satellite TV system to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa, resulting in many viewers learning the facts about Falun Dafa. The viewers started to see through the deception that they faced from government propaganda. As a result, these lawless officials were panicked and carried out even more barbarous persecution against the Dafa practitioners.

On the night of August 27, five Dafa practitioners were arrested, and they are currently being detained in the Xushui Detention Center. This satellite TV incident shocked people in the National Security Department. As revealed by one of the local officers, security department authorities came to question people twice. The local officers, in order to keep their positions, regaled these authorities with lavish dinners and presents, spending almost ten thousand Yuan of taxpayers' money in the process. [The average monthly salary for an urban worker is about 500 Yuan; for rural workers only 200 Yuan per month.] They then used torture devices to torment the arrested practitioners, and harassed and arrested the local practitioners at their residences without giving any reason.

On the morning of September 12, in the Baoding Region, initially three practitioners were arrested. Subsequently, six more practitioners were arrested while they were exchanging materials. Based on what we could piece together from the available information, it probably happened because plain-clothes officers tailed the practitioners. We estimate that this time at least 14 practitioners were arrested.

We have further learned that lawless officers in Baoding City, Hebei Province grouped themselves into teams and went to Anguo City to wait in ambush. People say that these persons spent tens of thousands of Yuan to arrest Dafa practitioners. Local officers arrested practitioners at their residences without giving any reason. The practitioners had their homes ransacked once again. Practitioners who had Dafa materials and books found in their homes were taken away and detained as an "administrative procedure." During this period, villains in Anguo City arrested more than twenty practitioners. Some practitioners managed to escape with righteous thoughts.

Lawless officers in the Xiongxian Region formed several teams. Their initial plan was to capture, by the end of September, all Dafa practitioners who left their homes to avoid persecution. However, their plan has fallen through, even though they arrested some practitioners at their residences. Recently, the police arrested at least twenty practitioners and sent them to brainwashing classes. The brainwashing class manager, Xing Fengjun, lead his followers to trample on the female Dafa practitioners' dignity and abused them like thugs. Female Dafa practitioners who were steadfast in their faith and unyielding to the goons' demands were forced to be clad in only their panties. The villains used pliers to pinch the nipples of the female practitioners and used electric batons to shock them.

On the night of September 23, at around 10:00 p.m., evildoers from the Daying Township Detention Center forcibly barged into the residence of a female Dafa practitioner. They did not listen to reason and attempted to kidnap her, disregarding her protests. Her husband came forward to stop them. The practitioner seized this opportunity and escaped. Her husband was then arrested and taken to the county detention center. The police declared that they would sentence him to two years of imprisonment. The family's nine-month-old baby who still needs to be breastfed and his aged grandfather were left at home to fend for themselves.

Around August 13, people in the Lixian Region viewed video clips on TV that portrayed the truth of Falun Dafa. Local lawless persons therefore organized a campaign there to frenziedly ransack the homes of various local practitioners, an effort that was carried out on August 15^th.

We hope that Dafa practitioners all over the world will send forth righteous thoughts together to eliminate all the evil elements in other dimensions who are causing damage to Dafa in the Baoding Region. At the same time we urge Dafa practitioners in the Baoding Region to be more diligent in doing well what we should do, to be more rational, steadfast and clear-minded and ensure the smooth progression of Fa-rectification work.
