A Story from a Village in Hainan Province

In a certain village situated in Hainan Province, an elderly husband and wife lived with their four children. Three out of the four children were practicing Falun Gong before the persecution started in July 1999. When the persecution began in July 1999 the Jiang regime initiated a massive persecution of Falun Gong and Falun Gong practitioners all over the country. Due to fear of Jiang's cruel suppression, they decided to deliver the books containing the teachings of Dafa to the local police station. Although they knew that it was good for their children to practice Falun Gong and to become better people, they thought, due to past experiences of their elder's, that the general citizens of China cannot stand up to the Chinese dictator. Therefore, they tried their best to stop their children from practicing Falun Gong, but their efforts were in vain. Their children not only spread the Fa at home but also distributed flyers to clarify the truth about Falun Gong and peacefully appealed for a stop to the persecution of Falun Gong in Beijing. The old couple decided to ask someone with "supernatural powers" for help in stopping their children from running away to spread the Fa and clarify the truth.

But the person with "supernatural powers" said, "I can't do anything, and I don't dare to do anything. There is one grand guardian standing behind each of your three children. You will depend on them to enjoy your life in the future. If one practices Falun Gong then they will have a grand guardian to protect them."

The old couple believed the person with "supernatural power." Since then, they never tried to limit the truth clarifying activities of the children. When the local police came to disturb them, the old couple also resisted their persecution and no longer complied any of their requests.
