"Journey of Falun Dafa" Photo Exhibit Held at State Capitol in Austin, Texas

(Clearwisdom.net)

From the 6th to the 8th of September, the "Journey of Falun Dafa" photo exhibit was held in the State Capitol in Austin, Texas.

On the first day of the exhibit, the practitioners held a press conference. During the press conference, a practitioner read an open letter that was sent to President Bush calling for people from all walks of life to help stop the persecution of Falun Gong in China. In addition, Danielle Wang, whose father (Wang Zhiwen) was illegally detained and sentenced to 16 years in jail, read an open letter expressing how she missed her father and called for help to stop the persecution so she could reunite with her father. After the press conference, some reporters interviewed Danielle.

The three-day exhibit drew the attention of many tourists and staff of the Texas government, including the security guards. Numerous people were shocked upon seeing the photos of the persecution; they could not imagine how a meditation practice, which improves both a person's body and mind, could be persecuted so brutally. Several people were interested in learning the exercises and asked for information about the practice. Some people have heard about Falun Gong before, but carried misunderstandings and doubts about it. After talking to Falun Gong practitioners, however, their questions were clarified. Moreover, they obtained a correct understanding about Falun Gong and the truth of the vicious persecution.

In addition, the City Hall informed us that the mayor had declared the three days of September 6th, 7th and 8th, the days of the exhibit, to be "Falun Dafa Days" in Austin, Texas to welcome Falun Gong practitioners and congratulate the success of the photo exhibition.
