[China] Customs Demand Strict Mail Inspection
China's dictatorship fears the truth and requested Customs to strictly
inspect the mail from overseas to find Falun Gong materials like books and VCDs.
This order was to be kept as a national secret for 12 years.
[Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Police Illegally Arrest More Than Twenty Falun
Dafa Practitioners and Give Them Heavy Sentences
In mid May 2001, the local police broke into a residence near Nanta at around
2 a.m. and arrested at least five practitioners including Tan Xinyu, Tan Kayu,
Cong Ming, and Wang. Another practitioner was able to escape.
At around 2 a.m. on July 1, 2001, the police from Dongling Police Branch
broke into a residence near Shenyang Cell Phone Warehouse and arrested at least
nine practitioners including Jin Yan, Zhang Yusheng and Jiang Zhiqiang (students
from Shenyang Aviation Industry College), Guan Yue, Cong Liang, Wang xx (female
in her 30s), and Wang xx (in her 60s).
Recently, the police revealed that they have arrested more than 20
practitioners and illegally sentenced them from seven years to life in prison.
[Dengta County, Liaoning Province] Ten Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Arrested
in Liaoyang City
In mid June of 2001, the police arrested ten practitioners from Dengta County
who were forced to leave their home to avoid the persecution and had been
renting a residence in Liaoyang City.
[Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Booklets Appear in Residential Area
On October 20, 2002, booklets about the truth of Falun Dafa appeared in some
residential areas in Shenyang.
[Shanghai] Female Falun Dafa Practitioners Xia Haizhen and Chen Lin Are
Detained in Qingpu Brainwashing Center
At 9 a.m. on September 24, 2002, five police took Xia and Chen to a
brainwashing center in Qingpu. When questioned by the families, the police said,
"They will not be released until they give up practicing Falun Gong." The police
also said that those practitioners who had been detained or interrogated this
year would all be sent to the brainwashing center.
[Tieling, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Jie Is Tortured at
Detention Center
Wang Jie has been on a hunger strike at Tieling Detention Center. Recently,
they sent him to the hospital.
[Bijie, Guizhou Province] Dr. Han From Guizhou Industrial University Is
Arrested
The police arrested a physician named Han from Guizhou Industrial University
for practicing Falun Gong and are currently detaining him at Bijie City
Detention Center. The police are searching for practitioners door to door, and
have arrested many practitioners. Some practitioners have been forced to leave
their homes.
The evil people are planning to set up a brainwashing center in Huaxi
district in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. Practitioners, please send forth
more righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil in other dimensions, so that
people can understand the truth in a peaceful environment.
[Shenyang, Liaoning Province] The Police Send Falun Dafa Practitioner Ding
Shuyun to a Brainwashing Center in Shenhe District, Fangjialan
On September 28, the police from Binhe Police Station forcefully took Ding
Shuyun, 47, from her work place and sent her to a Brainwashing Center in Shenhe
District, Fangjialan. Her daughter, a junior high school student, was left at
home alone. She does not have any income or savings. All kind people in the
world, please pay attention to this matter and help to stop the persecution of
Falun Dafa practitioners.

[Tianshui, Gansu Province] The Police From Beidao Police Branch Arrest Falun
Dafa Practitioners Xiao Yantian and Tian Lihong
Xiao is a farmer from Shiziping Village in Dongquan Village, Tianshui Beidao.
On September 23, 2002, the police illegally confiscated his home and took him to
Beidao Detention Center. He has been detained since.
On October 15, 2002, the police forcefully arrested Tian Lihong at the
construction area of Shetang Construction Team in Beidao. Her elderly parent was
left home alone unattended.
[Tianshui, Gansu Province] The Police Torture Female Falun Dafa Practitioners
Yang Mei and Li Min Since September
On September 11, the police arrested Yang and Li from the residential area of
Tianshui Rubber Factory and took two disc writers, a computer, and other
equipment. They are now being detained at Luergou Detention Center in Tianshui.
The police put cuffs on their hands and feet for days at a time, and have been
beating and torture them for more than a month. Their bodies are covered with
wounds.
[Tieling, Liaoning Province] The Police Arrest More Than Ten Practitioners
Including Yin Liping, Wang Hongshu, and Zhang Bo
On October 9, 2002, the police confiscated at least four practitioners'
residences and arrested more than ten practitioners including Yin Liping, Wang
Hongshu, and Zhang Bo. The police located the practitioners' cell phones and
tapped their phones for several days before they took action. Those who had
contacted these cell phones were all compromised. They also arrested some
practitioners' family members. We hope that practitioners in other areas can
learn this lesson and pay attention to their cell phones' security.
[Hefei, Anhui Province] The Police Detain Falun Dafa Practitioner Li Lin For
Three Months
Li Lin worked at Anhui Machinery Import and Export Company. The police did
not find anything at his house, yet refuse to release him or allow his family to
visit him. His young son has not seen father for three months. We recently heard
that they plan to sentence him.
[Liaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Police Break Into Residence To Arrest
Falun Dafa Practitioner
At 2 p.m. on March 14, 2001, Liaoyang County Police Department sent many cars
and police officers in order to arrest practitioner Li Ming. They broke in
through the window from his neighbor's balcony, and then ransacked and destroyed
Li's home. They took all of the Falun Dafa materials and books, record player,
cash, and bank deposits. The family now has no income and Li's wife was forced
to leave home to avoid further persecution. His child has no money to continue
school, and went to the police department to ask for some of the money back.
Yet, the police refused to give any of their property or the money back. The
deputy chief of the police department Wu said, "This money is Falun Gong's money
and will be confiscated."
[Zhengzhou, Henan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Wei Baohua Is Persecuted
in a Brainwashing Center
On October 9, 2002, Wei Baohua from Shangjie district went to the 610 Office
to clarify the truth about Dafa. The director of Shengjie district called the
police and arrested Wei, taking him to Shangjie Detention Center. Now Wei is
being detained at a brainwashing center at the Hongyuan Hotel. We heard that Liu
Xia, the newly appointed director of the 610 Office, is fabricating materials in
order to send Wei to a forced labor camp. (The 610 Office is an agency
specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each
level of administration in the Party and all other political or judicial
systems.)
[Guizhou Province] The Police Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioner Huang Lei
Huang Lei is a student at Guizhou Industrial University. In November 2001,
the police from the 610 Office arrested him in his classroom. On the way to the
brainwashing center located at Zhongba Farm, he escaped using strong righteous
thoughts. The university expelled him, and he was forced to become homeless in
order to avoid the persecution. At 3 p.m. on October 24, 2002, the police from
Guiyang City arrested him again when he was clarifying the truth at Feiyu
Internet Club near Hebin Park in Guiyang City. All practitioners, please send
forth righteous thoughts to help Huang Lei escape the evil.
[Dalian City, Liaoning Province] The Politicians Plan to Deceive the Public
With a Film that Slanders Dafa
Dalian City plans to show a film made by the Scientific Motion Picture Studio
in Beijing. This film seriously undermines science, slanders Falun Dafa, and
will serve to deceive more people. The show is scheduled in various theaters
between October 15 and October 30. All the work units have been ordered to
organize their employees to watch it. Practitioners, please send forth righteous
thoughts to eliminate the evil factors in other dimensions behind this plan.
