[China] Customs Demand Strict Mail Inspection

China's dictatorship fears the truth and requested Customs to strictly inspect the mail from overseas to find Falun Gong materials like books and VCDs. This order was to be kept as a national secret for 12 years.

[Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Police Illegally Arrest More Than Twenty Falun Dafa Practitioners and Give Them Heavy Sentences

In mid May 2001, the local police broke into a residence near Nanta at around 2 a.m. and arrested at least five practitioners including Tan Xinyu, Tan Kayu, Cong Ming, and Wang. Another practitioner was able to escape.

At around 2 a.m. on July 1, 2001, the police from Dongling Police Branch broke into a residence near Shenyang Cell Phone Warehouse and arrested at least nine practitioners including Jin Yan, Zhang Yusheng and Jiang Zhiqiang (students from Shenyang Aviation Industry College), Guan Yue, Cong Liang, Wang xx (female in her 30s), and Wang xx (in her 60s).

Recently, the police revealed that they have arrested more than 20 practitioners and illegally sentenced them from seven years to life in prison.

At 2 p.m. on March 14, 2001, Liaoyang County Police Department sent many cars and police officers in order to arrest practitioner Li Ming. They broke in through the window from his neighbor's balcony, and then ransacked and destroyed Li's home. They took all of the Falun Dafa materials and books, record player, cash, and bank deposits. The family now has no income and Li's wife was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution. His child has no money to continue school, and went to the police department to ask for some of the money back. Yet, the police refused to give any of their property or the money back. The deputy chief of the police department Wu said, "This money is Falun Gong's money and will be confiscated."

On October 9, 2002, Wei Baohua from Shangjie district went to the 610 Office to clarify the truth about Dafa. The director of Shengjie district called the police and arrested Wei, taking him to Shangjie Detention Center. Now Wei is being detained at a brainwashing center at the Hongyuan Hotel. We heard that Liu Xia, the newly appointed director of the 610 Office, is fabricating materials in order to send Wei to a forced labor camp.
