In the fall of 2001, Cheng Diankun, a member of the Political Committee of Zhangshi Custodial Center, sent three practitioners including Zhang Zhenwu to the Quanshan Custodial Center in Caishichang. He said that the center has an approved quota for murdering several practitioners each year, and no one will be held accountable for the deaths. Even if practitioners survive the torture there, they will not be released.

Li Ying, female, 33 years old, graduated from the Business Administration Program of Tongji University, Shanghai in 1992. She subsequently worked in the Shanghai Zhonglu Business Management and Consultancy Corporation. Because she refused to give up practicing Falun Gong, the police illegally sent her to a brainwashing center where she continued to refuse to denounce her faith. She later held a hunger strike. As a result, she was forced fed, which seriously affected her health. Since she was an outstanding employee, and her work unit bailed her out. On October 16, 2001, she was again taken away by the police. Three months later, she was discovered being detained in the Qingsong Female Forced Labor Camp. The reason given for her two-year term was quite absurd: she was found giving a truth-clarification CD to a person.

We learned that on September 22, 2002 that practitioner Yan Zhigang was arrested and sent to the Second Detention Center in Wuhan. In April 2001, his wife was arrested. Since then, Yan had been forced to leave home to avoid further persecution and his whereabouts are unknown. We hope that practitioners reading this will send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements in other dimensions.

On the evening of September 28, 2002, practitioner Zhu Junxiu and her husband Yu Jiaqing were arrested by the police from Chengdu Security Department. The police also arrested another twenty practitioners from the same company. Police took two cars and hauled many practitioners away.

During the holidays around National Day, a truth clarification resource center in Chongzhou City was ransacked. A high quality scanner, a few thousand truth-clarification CDs, and cash amounting to a few thousand dollars were lost. It was said that the police kept most of these things. Two female practitioners who had left home to avoid being arrested have disappeared.

During the holidays around National Day, the father of a practitioner was invited to a meeting where all participants were retired officials. They were given the task of monitoring and reporting on practitioners. They were asked to call the police or follow practitioners if they see them distributing or posting flyers. This group of people is not open-minded, and has been exposed to the poisonous propaganda against Falun Gong for the longest time. They are the victims of lies, deceit and slander.

Since October 1999, practitioner Tan Shaolan (female) of Chuan Mian First Factory in Chengdu had been arrested many times, and at one time was imprisoned for as long as half a year for upholding her faith in Falun Gong. She was later imprisoned again for appealing in Beijing. Her identification card and bankbooks were forfeited. Zhou Jianhui from Tiaodenghe Police Station and Zhong Wei from Tiaodenghe Security Department regularly harassed her. Tan had to move away from home to avoid further harassment. During the past two years, Chuan Main Security Department has withheld Tan's pension.

On September 2, 2002, Tan went to the Security Department of Chuan Mian First Factory to demand her pension. However, instead of granting her request, the Security Department detained Tan and subsequently took her to the Tiaodenghe Police Station and put her under the "care" of Zhou Jianhui. Zhou illegally sent her to a detention center on the same day.

On a winter day in 1999, an official from a local "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the regime to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] interrogated a practitioner. The official used a TV propaganda show produced by the state-controlled media to attack Dafa. In response, the practitioner cited an example in the propaganda in which a practitioner was alleged to cut his own stomach in order to find the Falun (wheel of law) to prove that this was nothing but lies. The practitioner said, "All Falun Gong practitioners know that Falun exists in another dimension and cannot be seen. How can a practitioner cut his stomach in order to find Falun? The official was speechless when he heard that. Desperate, he gestured with his hands, "Couldn't he have cut his stomach and touched his Falun from there?" Hearing this, all the policemen present laughed their heads off.

A practitioner who had gone astray betrayed practitioner Sun Qirong of Huainan, Anhui Province. When Sun visited this practitioner in Chaijigan on August 20, 2002, the police arrested her in the corridor. The guards at the brainwashing center tortured him and would not allow him to sleep. He is currently secretly detained (not in the city). We suggest that practitioners in Huainan send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil forces in other dimensions.

Not long ago, police from Qilitang Police Station, Hefei City stormed a truth-clarification materials center and removed a photocopier, papers and other things. In mid July 2002, police detained practitioner Wu Jiwen for 15 days for distributing truth clarification flyers. In late July, the police and officials from Xiagang School used the excuses of meetings with the school and the Residence Committee to trick Wu to the school. Once he was there, members of the Residence Committee forced Wu into a police car and sent him to the Nanhu Forced Labor Camp. Wu had started a hunger strike before and his health condition was poor. The Forced Labor Camp refused to admit him. His whereabouts are now unknown.

On July 31, 2002, Shi Changru, Deputy Secretary of Wanjiang Factory, Hufei City, and Tang Taohung, the head of the Factory's Security Department, took several persons from the "610 Office" to the work unit of practitioner Li Yun. They tried to trick Li into leaving with them. Later, they forcefully sent Li to a brainwashing center. Li started a hunger strike and later suffered from a high fever. He was then released and sent home.

A practitioner from Hefei City, Anhui Province is suffering from mental trauma received in a brainwashing center. In the center, practitioners are put in solitary confinement and have to listen to slander about Dafa everyday. Practitioners are not allowed to leave their room, nor are their family members allowed to see them. There has been very little information about what is going on. But it was said that a lot of practitioners are very determined in their faith of Falun Gong.

Practitioners Chen Wenjie and Li Jinhui from Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province were illegally arrested while they clarified the facts about Falun Gong to people. Since May 22, 2001, they have been detained in Jiangmen Detention Center. The police are now looking for "criminal evidence" so they can sentence them to a maximum term.

Female practitioner Guo Qunwen was arrested on December 30, 2001 when her truth-clarification resource center was ransacked. She was given an eight-year term.

Practitioner Huang Shaowen was sentenced to four years in prison, and has been sent to the prison already.

Currently, several practitioners including some from other cities are detained in Jiangmen Detention Center.

Practitioner Zhou Min, who lived in Jiuyanqiao in Chengdu City. In September 2002, Zhou was deceived by the police and followed them to Hejiangting Police Station. She was subsequently sent to Jinjiang Center for Drug Addicts. Ten other practitioners are also detained there. The guards in the Center said that they would "start a class" for the practitioners.

The "610 Office" of Qianxi, Guizhou Province actively persecutes Dafa practitioners. They attack Dafa and practitioners with slander and lies, and they held a photo exhibition to defame Dafa and Teacher. They have also initiated a petition and collected signatures from organizations and schools. The police in Qianxi follow practitioners, and always go in a small group of three to five to practitioners' houses to harass and threaten them. In April 2001, the police arrested four practitioners and sentenced two of them to a three-year term.

Since October 15, 2002, major Shenyang theatres have shown movies that defame Dafa. We hope that practitioners will send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements in other dimensions.
