A Colleague Gains a Better Understanding of Dafa through a Practitioner's Persistent Efforts to Clarify the Truth

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhang has established a better understanding of Dafa through a Dafa practitioner's persistent efforts to clarify the truth. After some time she would ask the Dafa disciple, "Tell me more. Listening to these words about Dafa can help to purify the soul."

One day she was again talking to the Dafa disciple. While chatting about the fabricated murder case being shown on TV that was used to slander Falun Gong, she said, "In August, I saw on television that a man and a woman had killed a hotel attendant, saying that they were 'saving her.' I had my doubts right then. According to a normal perspective, saving a person should be something magnificent and sacred. Thinking of the two on TV, the woman looked a little dull and somewhat mentally disabled; as for the man, he looked quite vicious. They are nothing like you [Dafa practitioners]; people can tell very quickly that you are a very nice person."

When talking about how people today blindly follow what is said on TV and oppose Dafa, she exclaimed, "I realized many who oppose Falun Gong actually don't know what Falun Gong is really about! They just believe whatever is said on TV; however, if you ask them why they oppose Falun Gong, they cannot really say."

The Dafa disciple told her, "By Jiang's orders, after July 20^th, 1999, many Dafa books, tapes, videos and other Dafa materials were burned and destroyed. Why did he want to destroy those things? Is it due to his fear of people knowing the truth? If everyone had a chance to read the Dafa books, no one would believe his lies again!"

She said, "I know. Sometimes while watching TV with family and friends, we come across criticisms of Falun Gong. I would immediately say, 'The things on television are not trustworthy. We have no right to comment on Falun Gong since none of us have read the Falun Gong books nor understand Falun Gong.' Given that so many people practice and have benefited from it, it must have some good things. In reality, my relatives don't oppose Falun Gong."
