During the period of the 16^th National Party Congress, some residential areas in Beijing reinforced security and even cut off cable TV service. Normal usage will resume only after the conclusion of the 16^th National Party Congress. It is said cutting cable TV service is necessary to prevent broadcasts of Dafa truth-clarifying videos. In addition, a great number of armed policemen and policemen have been on patrol in the streets of Beijing. Police vehicles are seen everywhere. The atmosphere is extremely tense.

In a village of Wei County, a government sponsored broadcast over loudspeaker begins a daily broadcast before 5:00 a.m. sometimes also slandering Dafa and practitioners in the village. On September 8, 2002, the loudspeaker started to broadcast at 4:50 a.m. All Dafa practitioners in the village collectively sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil forces that manipulated the broadcast. The loudspeaker instantly stopped broadcasting when the righteous thoughts were sent forth, but the evil forces in other dimensions refused to accept this. At 5:30 a.m. and 5:40 a.m., it managed to broadcast twice. Dafa practitioners again sent forth strong righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil in other dimensions and the loudspeaker stopped immediately again and couldn't make any sound as if it became mute until practitioners all over the world finished sending righteous thoughts at the fixed time. This fact once again proved that Dafa practitioner's righteous thoughts are powerful.

Police arrested two practitioners from their homes in Baoshan Town/Fengcheng City, including Mr. Zhang Ziyang and put them into a detention center;

Police arrested three Dafa practitioners from their homes in Jiguanshan Town/Fengcheng City, including Ms. Sun Li;

Police arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Leng Dongmei from home in Hongqi Town/Fengcheng City.

In late September 2002, persons from the Fushan "610 Office" took practitioner Ms. Zhou Jinghong from Yantai City's Fushan Vegetable Processing Factory and Ms. Li Meizhen from the Zhiyang District to a brainwashing class [The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems].

Collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] Hou Tianqing (male), Sun Lihua (female), Hu Haifeng (female) and Zhang Shulan (male) from the Fushan District have cooperated with the vicious thugs for a long time at this brainwashing class to persecute practitioners.

Ms. Ding Guizhi, 61 years old, and Ms. Ding Xiulan, 60 years old, are retired workers from Boshan District's Architecture Ceramics Factory. New Year Day they were arrested when they posted and distributed Dafa truth-clarifying materials. On January 9, 2002, they were illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor.

Ms. Li Xiuyun, 37 years old, a self-employed business owner, residing at Henandong Village in Shantou Town. New Year Day she was arrested when she posted and distributed Dafa truth-clarifying materials. On January 9, she was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor.

Ms. Sun Lili, 18 years old, lives at 46 Fangou Street in Shantou Town. In October 2001, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. In January of this year she again went to Beijing to appeal. On January 17, she was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor.

Ms. Qiao Tongmei, 45 years old, and her husband, Mr. Zhang Qingshun, are farmers from Wulong Village in Xia Jiazhuang Town. In March and June of 2000, they went to Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Gong. They were arrested when they distributed Dafa truth-clarifying materials. On January 22, 2002, they were illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor.

Practitioners arrested on the night of September 27:

Ms. Wu Xiaohua, Ms. Fang Baozhen (Xu Xuewen was accompanied by eight people breaking into her home), Mr. Fang Tianming, Mr. Su Yuliang, Mr. Xia Guangliang, Ms. Rong, Ms. Zhang Zhulin and Mr. Liu Yongming (arrested on September 27, now he has been tortured to the point of a mental breakdown).

Practitioners detained on September 26:

Ms. Xu Shujun and Ms. Cai Suzhen (detained at Detention Center No. 1)

Other practitioners detained:

Ms. Chen Guozhen (On January 9, she was arrested at the home of Yue Yang, the director of the police office)

Mr. Tang Zhijun (took away from home by Xu Xuewen in March of 2002)

Mr. Su Jinguang (arrested on October 27)

Ms. Mao Xiuying, Ms. Wumei, Mr. Dong Guoshui, Mr. Mei Guosheng, Mr. Li Qiyuan and another practitioner from Taiping.

Dafa Practitioner Ms. Chen Jun, about 60 or 70 years old, is from Shenyang City. She was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor in May 2001 and was detained at Shenyang City's Longshan Forced Labor Center. In May this year, she was bailed out because of her serious diabetes. She was already blind in one eye and suffered from blurred vision in the other one. But during the "16^th National Party Congress," the lawless policemen in the Longshan Forced Labor Center again returned the elderly lady to that Center for illegal detention. Her three children, Jing Tian, Jing Cai and Jing Yu were also heavily sentenced, to 10 to 13 years of imprisonment, respectively. Just because of practicing Falun Gong, Jiang's regime, using a campaign of state terror, has broken up a good and harmonious family. We hope that righteous organizations and righteous people all over the world will use effective methods to help stop the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in China.

After they went astray, former practitioners Li Linping, Yu Suhong (female) and Li Man (female) went to brainwashing center in Hebei Province's Capital to act as collaborators, assisting the guards to brainwash and torture Falun Gong practitioners and to help the tyrant do evil.

Yu Suhong lives at No.1 South Street, Dongjing'an Village, Wang Town/Xingtai County.

Li Linping lives at the provincial government dormitory in the Yucheng Residential Area, Chengjiao Street, Qiaoxi District/Shijiazhuang City.

After abandoning "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" under duress, Zhu Hongzhen (male) who lives in Qilidian Village, Chengnan Town, Zichuan District/Shandong Province spreads deceiving lies among Dafa practitioners. He also provided the city's "610 Office" with a list of names of those Dafa practitioners who are still practicing and clarifying the truth by all kinds of methods, which led to the arrest of many Dafa practitioners.
