Remembering Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Shuqin By a practitioner from China
(Clearwisdom.net) The first time I met Wang Shuqin (female) was in the summer
of 2000 at the Shuanghe Forced Labor Camp in Qiqihar City. She was held in
solitary confinement in a small cell. When we went out to do labor and were
passing by the clinic, we saw her coming out after being force-fed. What I
remember most from that time was her confident smile and her white hair.
She and her husband Mr. Cui both practiced Falun Dafa. We all called her
"Aunt Cui," a respectful way of addressing older ladies. The Cui's were well to
do, but they led a very simple life. All of Aunt Cui's savings were used to help
others. She participated in much of the truth-clarifying work. She pitched in
whenever money was needed. When she saw truth materials being thrown away, she
felt very bad. Once, she decided to buy some greeting card envelopes to deliver
the materials door to door. Although it was very risky, she felt that it would
make it easier for people to receive them. When she found out that posters were
being taken down by cleaning personnel, she went to talk to them, telling them
that the materials were for helping people and that it was wrong to take them
down. At the same time, she showed understanding of their situation, i.e. being
fined when truth materials were found in their area. She said to them, "As long
as you don't take them down, I will compensate you for whatever fines you have
to pay." On the other hand, Aunt Cui was strict with herself. She always tried
to measure herself against the Fa. When both she and her husband were illegally
jailed, their children bribed the officials to have them released. When Aunt Cui
heard about this, she demanded the money back, sparing the police from gaining
karma.
Aunt Cui was very diligent, studying the Fa until 2, 3 o'clock in the morning
every day. Undaunted by the terror around her, Aunt Cui set up a study group and
held experience-sharing meetings at her home. With a firm belief in Falun Dafa,
she went to Beijing to peacefully appeal for Falun Gong. In 1999, Aunt Cui
initiated a petition with a hundred signatures to go to Beijing to appeal for
Falun Gong. When other practitioners didn't step forward, Aunt Cui encouraged
them to; for those who believed the lies, Aunt Cui talked to them again and
again, showing them Teacher Li's articles. Some immediately realized they were
wrong. Others gradually awakened.
Although Aunt Cui is 60-year-old, she never fell behind in truth-clarifying
work such as hanging up banners. Once Aunt Cui showed a truth-clarifying VCD to
people, but was exposed and arrested. During her detention, she went on a hunger
strike for 28 days. After she was released, she didn't resent the person who had
exposed her. Instead, she clarified the truth to her. One practitioner became
unconscious while she was on hunger strike and was dying in the hospital. Aunt
Cui rescued her from the hospital. In July 2002, both Mr. and Mrs. Cui were
arrested. The police were going to put them in an illegal trial. Aunt Cui again
went on a hunger strike for lack of other avenues. Having been force-fed and
tortured, Aunt Cui died during the mid-autumn festival in 2002. A kind-hearted,
optimistic, and respectable elderly lady was thus murdered by the Jiang regime.
Aunt Cui validated Dafa with her entire life all the way to the end. Posting date: 11/2/2002
