[Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Dafa Practitioner Couple Wang Cheng and Jin Yaoming Are Sentenced to Ten and Seven Years of Imprisonment, Respectively

Since their arrest on January 23, 2002, Dafa practitioners Wang Cheng and Jin Yaoming from Harbin City have been very determined in their belief in Teacher and Dafa and have resisted the vicious persecution. A short while ago, both of them were sentenced to long-term imprisonment. Wang Cheng was sentenced to ten years of imprisonment, Jin Yaoming seven years. At present, Wang Cheng is illegally held at a newly set up training assembly in Harbin City. Jin Yaoming is illegally held at the notorious "Duck's Circle" Detention Center and has now been tortured to the extent that he is so mentally unaware and physically weak that the detention center is not able to transfer him to the prison.

When they were arrested, the police illegally confiscated from their production site all of their personal savings, plus a computer and other office equipment.

[Handan City, Hebei Province] Police Arrest Numerous Dafa Practitioners

Recently, police in Handan City launched another large-scale, secret arrest campaign and ransacked many homes as part of the persecution. If they found a Dafa book or a copy of any Dafa material in a practitioner's home, the practitioner would be imprisoned. On November 3, many Dafa practitioners who had been put into prison or detention centers and had been released for various reasons were put back into prison.

[Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Arrest of Dafa Practitioner Ren Yanjun from Shangjie District

On the night of October 31, 2002, personnel from the "610 Office" [An agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] took Dafa practitioner Ms. Ren Yanjun to a brainwashing class in the Hongyuan Hotel, Shangjie District. At around 2:50 a.m., Ren Yanjun began to have convulsions while no one else was in the room. She fell to the ground and stayed there for nearly two hours before she was found by somebody and was given oxygen. Her blood pressure was 180/90 mmHg. On the morning of November 2, her blood pressure reached 190/90 mmHg. At the strong request of her family, Ren Yanjun was sent to a hospital. At around 6:00 p.m. she managed to escape. At present, she is again being held at Ding's home in No.41 Middle School, with six people taking turns monitoring her.

[Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Arrest of Dafa Practitioners He Tao, Zhang Zhilan, Yu Yamin and Zhang Limei

On November 11, 2002, police from Jinzhou City's Nuu'erhe Police Precinct took Dafa practitioner Mr. He Tao from the Nuu'erhe Paper Factory to the police station. According to witnesses, both of He Tao's hands were cuffed to the iron bars in front of the police station, and a white hood was placed over his head.

On around November 8, 2002, practitioners Ms. Zhang Zhilan and Ms. Yu Yamin from Taijitun Town, Lianshan District, Huludao City were intercepted by a car on their way home. Two men got out of the car and asked them whether Dafa is good. They said yes and were then beaten up and arrested.

On November 6, 2002, Ms. Zhang Limei, a primary school teacher of the Nuu'erhe Textile Plant Affiliated School, was tricked into going to the headmaster's office after she refused to accept brainwashing. As soon as she stepped in, police from the Taihe Police Precinct arrested her.

Political operatives from Jixi City's "610 Office" printed a lot of slogans slandering Dafa and compelled underling officials and work units to post them everywhere.

[Heilongjiang Province] Secret Prison Set up to House Arrested Practitioners

Mudanjiang subdivision authorities from the Northeastern Farm Bureau in Heilongjiang Province are holding a brainwashing class. A private, secret prison was set up in a five-story building. All the windows were welded shut. The lawless officials ordered their affiliated farms to send practitioners to this brainwashing class. Each work unit or individual was forcibly extorted 5,000 Yuan.

[Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Political Operatives Force People to Watch Deceptive Movie

Recently, Chenzhou City's "610 Office" personnel and people from the Propaganda Department issued an order to all work units, schools, towns and township governments to view the Dafa-slandering movie made by the Shanghai Movie Company. No one is allowed to be absent. The designated time to carry out this order is from November 2002 to June 2003.

On November 6, several Dafa truth-clarifying material-production sites in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province were destroyed. All practitioners at the production sites disappeared.

[Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Illegal Arrest of Three Dafa Practitioners at the North China University of Science and Technology in the Jiancaoping District

On the night of September 16, 2002 three Dafa practitioners were illegally arrested as they were making truth-clarifying materials at the North China University of Science and Technology in Jiancaoping District of Taiyuan City. Later, another Dafa practitioner who had nothing to do with this case was taken away from home. A notebook, a PC, a printer, a recorder, disks, copying paper, truth-clarifying materials and all Dafa books were confiscated. Furthermore, a bankbook, a cell phone in a female Dafa practitioner's bag, and a computer for her child's study were all forcibly taken away.

Later on, the temporary residence of one of the three Dafa practitioners was ransacked. The loss included a "one-to-seven" copier, some cash and disks. These three Dafa practitioners are still detained and detailed information is unavailable.

Ai Gang is a policeman in Qingyuan County. When the 16^th National Party Congress was in progress, he snooped everywhere to determine whether any Dafa practitioners went to Beijing to appeal. One day he went to a market to monitor a Dafa practitioner and happened to see two persons who were in a knife fight. A man recognized him as a policeman and asked him to stop the fight, but he paid no attention to this. Everyone who hears this story can't understand him at all. Why did this policeman care nothing about criminals?
