Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Large Scale Music and Dance Performance and Photo Exhibition of the Journey of Falun Dafa in Hong Kong (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 24 and 25, 2002, the Hong Kong Falun Gong Association held two non-profit evening shows entitled "An Old Friend Is Coming with Beautiful Music and Graceful Dances" at both Tunmen Hall and Quan Bay Hall. The shows were to express appreciation to all kind-hearted people for their kindness and help, and to demonstrate the artistic talents of practitioners. Over 800 local residents attended.

All the performers were Falun Gong practitioners from around the world and the practitioners prepared all the works. The programs included piano solo, Guzheng musical performance, chorus, Erhu solo, trio of musical instruments, folk dance and soprano solo. The audience enthusiastically applauded and said that the performance was wonderful and that Falun Gong practitioners are very versatile and talented.

Mr. Kan Hung-cheung, spokesman of Hong Kong Falun Gong Association, said that the association applied for the location for this activity as early as June last year to the Hong Kong authorities but it was not approved until recently. In addition, the Hong Kong authorities did not allow the association to sell Falun Gong founder, Mr. Li's books, Zhuan Falun and The Great Consummation Way of Falun Dafa, or distribute badges on which "Falun Dafa is good" "Life needs Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" and "I support Falun Dafa" were printed. Mr. Kan expressed regret over the authority's decision.

Besides the evening show, the Hong Kong Falun Gong Association held a photo exhibition of the Journey of Falun Dafa in Tunmen Hall on October 24 and 25. Nearly one hundred photos were exhibited to show the worldwide spread of Falun Dafa and the facts of the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
